Ya, Matt, turned out great concidering how it started. Bud was late getting to my place, left house 1/2 hour late. 7 miles down the road traielr tire came apart. Unhook trailer, haul A$$ abck how get tools and spare. Get back, change tire, haul but down the road. Now over an hour late, second fish reel craps out (it's 10 years old, not bad of a 20DX). Then on the way in I forgot about a net and dumped it over board ( o well, to small to do me any good in Kodiak anyway). I'll be in Manistee to night making a suicide evening trip from Interlochen.

It shouldn't destroy Dacron either.

Which reels?? My okuma 30's hold right around 200yds of 30 dacron and 300yds of 40lb power pro.

The best boards I or my old man ever found were Super Ski's made in New York I believe. They've long gona away, but they were a very dense form board. I never liked wood as they absord water, and you need to maintain them everytime you chip the paint. I'd se how well the PVC you found floats, if it is very boyyant, then go for it.

Maybe not as much bait in the lake like the DNR said. If it was there, this tim of year especialy, the Coho whould be able to find it. Maybe the bait we're putting there are the only thign there:(

How has the brown fishery in the Rogers/ocqeuoc area held up? I'm really looking to chase with the boards on the beach this fall.
