  1. Is anyone familiar with the fishing in the Monroe Area? I know there's a state park(Sterling) which people fish out of but I don't know how good the fishing is compared to other areas in the Down River Region. I don't have a boat, so I'm primarily looking for good shore fishing spots. Any insight would be much appreciated. Dave
  2. Hey Terry,

I'm somewhat of a newbie on this site. Anyway, I'm intersted in checking out one of your outings this year. I don't have a boat as most of my fishing is from shore. If you could let me know what type of gear/stuff I should bring, I'll plan to gather up any needed gear in advance of the outing.

    Dave

  3. I'm over by Muskegon. I don't have a boat, so I was planning to start out, pier/shore fishing as I've never fished the lake before.
  4. Thanks for the info, guys. Dave, to answer your question, I'm fairly new to the lakes, so I'm interested in exploring both avenues, spawn and spoon casting.
  5. I currently have a 7ft, Med-Heavy duty action pole with 12-25lbs test line. Any advice regarding its suitability for shore and boat fishing would be much appreciated. I'm primarily planning to shore fish in the Muskegon area.
  6. I'm looking ahead to Spring(only a month and a half away) and I'm interested in trying my luck, shore fishing in the Muskegon Area. If anyone knows of any good spots to try, I'd much appreciate it.
  7. Thanks
  8. I'm primarily interested in anything out towards Ludington.
  9. Does anyone know of any good campgrounds that are open year round?
  10. One idea worth considering is Cafepress( www.cafepress.com ). This could be a great way to start, as there is no inventory involved and the printing is all done for you. The only things needed to get started is a username and a logo.
  11. Price-wise, digital imaging seems to be the way to go. Like Killerbe20 said, you don't have to deal with minimum orders, so there's not need to carry a big inventory. Plus they're generally less expensive. Quality-wise, I'm not sure how it compares to silk screen though.
  12. I'm interested in knowing if there are t-shirts anywhere with the website logo available. If so, I'd love to buy a couple. If not, It's an idea worth considering as an additional means of promoting the site. I for one think the logo would look cool on a t-shirt.
  13. Hi all, I'm new to great lakes fishing and was wondering if there are and groups who go out on charters on a regular basis. I'm primarily interested in checking out the Ludington area.
  14. Hey Bob,

Thanks for the words of wisdom. I'm new to the great lakes and am interested in checking out the action in Lake Michigan, in the Luddington Area and Lake Huron.

  15. Where are you from and what waters will you be fishing in and I can help you out a little more. Due to my work schedule I have learned to catch more steelhead in the dark than I do during daylight. Funny thing is that I never see another fisherman when I am fishing.
