Eliminator

My wife and I are planning a weeklong trip to Manistee the July 4 week. We initially planned on taking the boat to do some legendary Manistee fishing, but looking at the moon phase calendar the moon will be at almost full all week. I have heard many rumors around full moon fishing, they include 1. Fish don’t bite well in the morning, 2. Night fishing is really good and 3. When the moon is at peak the best times are in the afternoon. Well I don’t know what do believe or really understand the truth about lunar phases and how they relate to fishing. Any seasoned fisherman or charter guys care to share their experience?

Thanks again Terry for the invite, even though a slow day for the Dirty Dog it was a great day for Becky and I. We both continued to learn new tactics and techniques and look forward to fishing with you again. The picture with Becky was her biggest King yet!

Had a great time fishing the SHFL again, Shannon and crew you do a great job!! This morning was a slow for us, we had a heavy box of fish on Friday and thought we had a program tuned just right but instead we had to work for the 5 we weighed in. 300 Blood run copper with a Silver Streak Metal Green Frog Rigger at 65 with a Moonshine Silver Flounder Diver out 170 with a green flasher and white fly Rigger at 50 with a Silver Streak Glow George. Job well done to JoJenJo on their great day and everyone else that participated. I can’t wait for the next one!!

The way I have found to help the fly situation, is to increase my patience's....... this is best accomplished with a few extra beers I carry, for emergency situations of course.
