  1. Fishing is still really good off Racine. Best depths for this weekend was 120-145. The fish are mainly taking flasher fly combos in greens and whites with Mikes Eyeflies #11 and#12 24inches behind. Spoons are only taking a few fish for us each trip. The fish are starting to move around alot and the water is warming up so I am anticipating the typical June slowdown to hit within the next week or two. Sunday morning sunrise Hot flasher fly combos for both days
  2. You don't need to replace your 30# with 50#. I have been using 30# for about 6-7 years without replacing it and never once had the power pro break. I actually sowe with a needle the power pro to the leadcore. I know it isn't as fast as the other knots but never had one problem with it.
  3. Agreed 100%
  4. Yesterday we couldn't get the camera in time to catch the coolest one I ever saw. A finch landed on the planer board line about half way out to the boards and stayed there for about 20 seconds. Some how it was able to hold on to 30lb power pro.
  5. Friday helped a friend with a trip from 7 till noon. We ran out to 165 and set up to troll with the 3-4's because it was a nasty chop. Ended up with 14 mainly on coho riggs. Saturday Fished from 70-90 feet and got 4 nice lake trout from 8-12 pounds. The fish shut down on all the typical coho stuff and started taking hotspot uv flashers with the Mikes Eyefly # 11 Blue Green eye alewife. Ended up with 11 nice fish. Sunday fished from 70-145 and we smacked em. The key was trolling into the waves (southeast) 19 of our fish came running into them and only 5 came running with them. The absolute stud setup today was a UV hotspot with the # 11 Mikes eyefly blue green eye alewife taking 12 fish on a rigger set at 65. The rest came on power pro dipsies, and leadcore with flasher flies also. Only 3 fish on spoons all morning. Ended the day with 24 fish. This was the stud setup the last couple trips Blue green eye alewife Eyefly
  6. That last picture is awesome!
  7. Gotta love those blue dolphin stingers, nice catch.
  8. Well the fishing was alot tougher today. We had to work hard to get 8 fish. The Northeast wind must have scattered the fish and shut them down. 150-160 was where we found the ones we got. 3 fish on the stinger blue dolphin and all the rest on the Mikes Eyeflies #11 Blue Green Eye alewife. Our traditional coho stuff didn't work today but a 140 rigger with the Eyefly and a UV hotspot saved us from an otherwise sad catch. I just got some of these from Mike on the site here and I'm pretty impressed. Those double singlehooks worked awesome. Thanks Mike!
  9. Man those walleyes look tasty!
  10. Fished 160ft this morning south of Racine. Fishing was pretty fast and lots of boats got their limits. Their are fish from 30ft out to 200 so it's prett good right now. We caught our fish from the surface all the way down to 115ft. The cohos seemed to move to the surface later in the morning. 13 cohos, 2 kings, and 1 steelhead. B&B's, 00dodgers and stinger blue dolphin all caught fish.
  11. Yes, we usaully start in Milwaukee in april for browns, then head to Kenosha when the cohos first show up. Once they are up to Racine we stay their until the fishing gets better off Milwaukee and then usually fish Milwaukee June through September.
  12. Jim, If you fish the harbor you will get browns and maybe a king or two. It is still going to be a little early for coho in milwaukee though. The big numbers of browns are starting to spread out now with the water warming so each trip I would expect to catch less. I would go to Racine this weekend if I were you and you will catch cohos and kings. Start in 100-125 and troll east till you get fish. This time of year you should be able to catch everything except browns out in the deep water. I know all that bait looks good but their aren't that many cohos up to Milwaukee yet.
  13. I have the same ones and feel the same way about the angles on the holders. How do you plan to change the angles? If it works I would probably do the same.
  14. Fished Saturday morning in the 30mph winds. Their was only one other boat out there. We got a 2 man limit in 2 hours all cohos. 15-30 feet headed south with the waves along the shoreline. B&B's little spinnies and a white cracked ice proking.
  15. I think they do. If you are going to get the tr1 and use a subtroll I would hook everything up on the subtroll with the wires run ontop the deck first to see if it works before taking the time to hide them in the sides. My guess is you will have some issues and might need a noise filter also. The signal strength on the tr1 must be alot stronger.
  16. Ya we've had some issues with our depth raider and their tr1 but depth raider is working with us to fix them. They just developed a noise filter that should fix the problem. We have a 15 horse kicker and it will push us about 6-7 mph on a calm day. Talk to Happy Days Boating about any questions. Those guys really know there stuff about those boats and the kicker setup. I have never found a marine dealer as knowledgable or willing to help as those guys.
  17. I see you have a kicker also. Do you have it hooked up to a tr1 autopilot? If so do you have any problems with interference with you temp probe?
  18. My dad actually made it. It works awesome because it holds about 200 spoon and you can see them all for quick access. It removes in about 1 second so you can lock it up.
  19. Awesome boat! I got the same one and set up almost exactly the same. How do you like it so far?
  20. I just found this site and saw right away alot of great info. I fish southern lake michigan on the Wisconsin side from Winthrop harbor to just south of Port Washington. Also a charter captain. Good luck to everyone this season! www.adrenalinfishingcharters.com
