Final Standings
Charlie's Angel replied to 1mainiac's topic in Muskegon Summer Challenge Salmon Tournament
Again being that everyone seems to be against me, i was in the channel at 1:00. I do not launch my boat everytime, i keep it in a marina on the north side of the lake, i called jim at about 5 after one and asked him if he would like me to slip and drive around or tie off at a dock at grand trunk. He did not want to tie up all the docks at grand trunk and simply asked me to drive around. i was in route at 1:10 however it is quite a drive around muskegon lake, if anyone has a problem with what happend please feel free to give me a PM and we can settle this our selves. My team is not nor have we ever been cheaters. We are a bunch of "kids" who simply love to salmon fish. Thank-you for not making us welcome and for not encouraging the younger generation to get involved in the sport. If people do not want us to come back next year we wont. SEND ME A PM IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY TO ME -

for the record i called jim at 1:06 Pm on saturday. I asked him if he would like me to park my boat at my marina and drive around or if i should pull up to a dock and walk up. He said he didnt want to plug up the marina and not have any docks available and being that two other tournament boats were currently in view of myself coming in they knew i was not cheating. Im sorry you feel like you were "cheated" out of first place but last time i checked you cant always be the best fisherman and once in a while someone else has to win. I had a good box for once can you give me a little credit? And being that you won points championship im pretty sure you had enough to fill your boat. -
We have been there a few times but we call Muskegon home. We tend to fish alot of places though!

This weekend and havent decided on a port yet. Probably Sault St Marie unless someone else has a better spot.

Sea Ray SRV 250 Hard top [SOLD]
Charlie's Angel replied to Charlie's Angel's topic in Boats for Sale
This boat pulls awesome i pull it with my half ton chevy truck all the time. It fishes amazingly well for its size and is very light on the wallet, the only reason i am selling this boat at all is because i bought a larger boat for charter purposes. I really like the boat and the fact that it will plane out at 2600 RPMs which if your not a speed demond like myself is perfect and so easy on the wallet. If you give me your email address i will hapily send you more pictures just send me a PM -

Just put another $500 into it a new floor and the trailer completely redone. This boat is ready for anything now -
This boat is set up to drive from the lower helm with all the electronics, It has new motors and is completely set up. I was thinking fishability and price. However I have only fished a bridge boat twice in my life so i appreciate all the feedback
-
yeah mike we fished mainly between the arms. My buddies went out today and caught a 11.5 lb brown, they ended up with 6 for 7 all with north ports but the best was number 69

Hey guys i need some help and some feed back. Im selling my Sea ray and looking to get a larger boat. Im faced with a tough decision. i personally have always liked a bridge boat. However i know it isnt fun being up there in rough seas. The boat i am currently looking at seems to be a fair deal. It is a 30ft and has the ray hunt design hull. Ive heard great things about this hull. Im just looking for other guys feed back. This boat would eventually become a charter boat as i am looking to get my captains license next winter.

Trailer is getting painted this week and everything is currently in tip top shape. boat is still available and will make someone and awesome fishing boat! -
I guess some people dont spend the time and learn how to consistenly catch salmon. If there is one thing ive learned about salmon fishing after mating for several charter boats in the past its that there is a method to catching salmon. If someone has to cheat to beat me fine, let them live with that but i know each night after a tourney i will sleep well. But honestly how can someone cheat and not feel bad. In my mind tournaments are made to be fun and a way to show who is the better fisherman for that day. Because as we all know No one is the best fisherman everyday

The boat is a 1975 but it had an "Extreme makeover" boat edition last year in 2009. Its really a sweet boat the only reason i am selling it is because im looking at a bigger one! The engine was shot when i got it so i bought and had baker marine in muskegon put in the rebuilt engine. They also went through the outdrive completely and replaced all the bad parts including bellows and hydrolic lines and pump. Im not asking what i have into it even i just want to make someone a nice boat who loves to fish and so i can get the bigger boat i am looking at! -
This boat is set up awesome for salmon fishing! With the help of a few charter boat captains we designed the perfect salmon fishing layout. It is 3 electric fishlander downriggers. 4 diver holders. 3 board holder per side and 6 across the top. It comes with bottom line 320 tournament addition graph. It also has a raytheon R 11x with a 36 in open ray. It has a 351 cleveland ford motor with less than 50 hours on it! The boat is an awsome salmon fishing boat and sits on a trailer. The trailer works but is not in immaculate condition however i did pull it from chicago to muskegon mi on it! call Tyler at 231-670-9873 $6250.00 obohttp://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/2/3/9/8/img00050-20100329-1457.jpg' alt='img00050-20100329-1457.jpg'>

Hopped on with paul from salmon head today. It was a bit chilly. ended up goin 6 for 6. 4 browns, a steelhead and a laker. Great day with great friends. all hits were on north port spoons 300 series but monkey puke with oil slick tape was the best 14 down on a rigger.

Okay so this seemed like a day in may! It was absolutely beautiful, the sun was shinning and the temp was in the mid 50's with very little wind! Sounds like the perfect day right! Well to top it off THE FISH WERE BITING! We left the dock at 10:00 and made the short run from snug harbor (docks in) to lake michigan. Hit a laker on the north side of the pier, tossed him back. Turned and fallowed the slick going to the south and began the crucification! Fished until 2:30 pm. Our hottest lure was a orange and gold hot in tot clean on a mono rod. Also stinger orange tip was good. Fuzzy Bear Buffalo Bill, as well as multiple rapalas. We had a ball! lost a few and landed 10! 5 steelhead, 3 browns, and one king, and one laker! It was a great day and couldnt ask for any better of one. Oh and it was great to hear the fish on song again!!!! Plus i think we had a couple people on the piers upset as we were yelling fish on at the top of our lungs everytime we hooked up!!!! hahaha:grin: Finally took pics of the catch but im so new to this website i cant figure out how to upload them!

What a beautiful day on the water! Fishing couldn't have been better. There were so many male steelhead staged ready to run up river. We ended up with 6 steelhead and a coho. 5 of the steelhead came on a stinger orange tip. We hit the biggest one (an 8 pounder on a red and black Brad's thin fish) It was such an exciting day our one and only brown came on a jaw breaker by dreamweaver. Dodger and flys were dead. orange tip on a rigger 12 ft down with a 25 foot lead to the ball! Hope to get out again soon but this weather is sure to push alot of them up the river. Tyler
