  1. when we came in it was getting rough,(in my boat) we were less than 1500 ft from the break wall. to the out side. If you were anywhere where it was open to the southwest it was bumpy. Just finished your jackets , have to trim them and I will be doing shirts either tomorrow or monday. Here is a shot of the Aqua Jacket.
  2. Not from your area but I got couple here today that were coughing up what seemed to be Smelt.
  3. Sorry to hear about that Steve . I hope the insurance company treats you right.
  4. Great job matt . I too love to see others catch the fish. its right up there with catching them your self. I'll bet your captain just loves to have someone that can read his mind while hes driving.
  5. Finally made it out again, just got the boat back and the kicker runs like new again. Took the short trip with my Cousin and brother in law. ended up 7 for 7 in just under 2 hours. Four of the fish didn't set the rigger line or couldn't tell if there was anything on the rods. Nice surprises though.Fished 35-40 fow right out front. Would have stayed out longer but the wind picked up and made boat control difficult. I hope this coho bite hangs around for a while . from what I could tell they were feeding on smelt. Now I just have to catch up on the Embroidery to get more time on the water. Tight lines Jim
  6. Where about did you fish , were you near dubay? How much snow was up there?
  7. 4 rigger rods [2 light] 2-3 color 2-5 color 2-7 color 2 300 copper 2- wire rods 4 dipsey rods Plus all the boards and baits , not too much room for more.
  8. yea winter will just not let go,Brrrrrrrrr
  9. After having a stellar first season, and be off work for three months after surgery, I am so ready to get fishing. New toys on the boat, new baits. new tactics learned. and to spend time with my family while on the water.
  10. Max you can view maps of the great lakes here, there not exact but close. http://www.oceangrafix.com/o.g/Charts/GreatLakes/NOAA-Nautical-Chart-Milwaukee-Harbor.html If you look back in my posts you will find links to more maps and viewers.
  11. I'll field test that all summer
  12. Have to go down and take some pictures of the big breakers, leave the poles at home.
  13. Hope it worked
  14. Yea max I would love to find them coho too, it seams that everyone that was out last weekend had at least 1 laker.
  15. So you would find them in Lake Superior then. How big do they get?
  16. very nice, I like the way you show us what worked.
  17. Nice Job , wish those coho were here.
  18. All happening in MN , Yooper?
  19. Have you seen the trick to getting hooks out using power pro? It works good just kinda hard doing it in your body. There was no way I was going to push that hook through .
  20. I would not expect the wiring colors to be standard ,even if they are from the same Manufacture. They were not on mine .
  21. Russ has the same motor and told me about the gas and how they deal with it . right now I am certain that the float is sticking on the carb. So I will have to take it apart and see why. Yeah I put fresh gas in last week but I don't think they really ran out the fuel from the kicker. If it turns out not to be the fuel system it will be warranty from Mercury. I just don't want my boat down this year. WHat really sucks about it is the kicker only has maybe 8 hours on it. Had it out twice last year.
  22. Not the shake down cruise but close, still having trouble with the kicker I have and used only twice last year. I called up the biz that winterized it and they told me its not there problem. So I guess there not going to get any more biz from me. Anyhow went 1 for 3 today . 1 nice laker in the boat. had a few that didn't hook up well. most of the hook ups were in 50ft of water. The water coming out of the river was lets say chocolate brown but warmer, temps out in 50ft were about 35. Its going to get better I know but at least one of my new rods got bent. Tight Lines Jim
  23. Nice fish Russ were you out there today? Looks like south shore . Nice to have everything run good.Still got bugs in my kicker.
  24. I would like to know also , I had hooked up my gps to my radio and only used 2 wires and a shielding wire. Because they are not clear on which wires to use. Did you talk with anyone from Raymarine or Garmin? When I finished the Icon on my radio lit up so I think its working. NEMA is suppost to be a standard, they just havent standardized the wiring to match it.
