  1. Could have been a while. I think the release is set too tight It happened again today .
  2. Well never 2nd guess your self just like Russ said. I second guessed the weather, they were calling for east winds and 1-2 foot waves and I had enough getting beat up the last 2 weeks. Wow was I wrong, went out very late, 830 am . Foggy but flat calm.Headed out to 35 ft set lines didn't mark one fish, stayed on an east course till we hit 50 and pulled lines . moved out to 90 and headed east pulling 6 lines. Marked some fish went to reset the rigger rod with the probe and couldn't get the rod to pop, so I bring up the rigger a little at a time and reel line up until it pops off. Hey there is still weight to this whats up with that ? A 12 lb laker is what it turned out to be . Had one drive by on the boards but marked many fish out deep. With some luck they will still be there in the morning.
  3. Nice bunch of fish Russ. you did much better that US
  4. Adam Love to go out fishing with you, Would have been nice this morning , little to rough in my boat today. Wow that thing looks like a fishing machine. Have you been out lately?
  5. Here is the hot lure for me this year, This is the one that was destroyed by a 19lb king. This lure has taken just under 60lbs of fish this year for me. Had to straighten out this one , still need to replace the hook yet. Don't remember the name but it does glow. To me in the water it looks more like bait than anything I have seen. Other than the real thing.
  6. I will post a picture later in the evening , its been the hottest spoon I have this year.
  7. Not only is it a pain in the ass but it can ruin your seals on your lower unit. Had it happen on my last boat. Too bad you weren't running copper Russ , that would really screw up his lower unit.
  8. Love those pictures, the fish ones too
  9. How about some Lights and Entertainment
  10. Get the tallest antenna you can use on your boat. The taller the antenna the better the transmission will be. Also is you have GPS you can hook it up to the radio and use the DSC feature. Which when it is fully working on lake Michigan(2012) a push of a button on your radio it will send your position and ID to the coast guard. The smaller hand held units I would only consider for line of site.
  11. Was back out again on Sunday, did just a little better, got out late and the water was getting rough in my boat. First fish came Immediately after setting the first rod, board took off . 5 lb Coho. 2nd trip at the wall 15 lb king , My son nicks says to me I think I have a bus, as the king pulls under the board . Nice 15Lb brute. Called it for the day after that, too rough for me yet . My neck still gives me fits and headaches so I try to stay in the calmer seas. Hope the weather settles down for the weekend. Tight Lines Jim
  12. Hope everything is alright Josh, we have to get together for the collars and I need some photos of the back of the boat.
  13. Well I 'm just a little behind posting so here is a shot of the rod trees installed, Thanks for your input on the placement. These are awesome, Wish I would have put them on to start with. Really keeps the lines seperated.
  14. Nice I have lost 2 blueberry muffins to screamers last year. good color
  15. Spent 5 hours out on the water today with my brother inlaw , I couldn't find the fish. I dont' like fishing in the pack so after the fog broke and I was in the middle of a dozen boats we left for less crowded water, Should have stayed in the crowd . went 1 for 2 in 5 hours. covered a lot of ground and didn't mark but a few fish. Had a visitor for a while . even landed on my hat . Ran into Russ at the launch and the fish were near the pack of boats. Have to try again .
  16. Hit the water after work with my Wife and son , it doesn't seem to matter she always gets the big one. Went 2 for 2 , it was great just to get out on the water again. One fish on peanut fly and the other on spoon. Second photo was from what seems like it was weeks ago. A 10lb brown. Now we just need the Kings to start showing up in large numbers.
  17. Thats one sweet sunrise. nice fish too.
  18. Wow nice Job Max , was out there also ended 1 for 2 just could not find the fish after leaving the pack.
  19. to a speedy recvoery
  20. Nice job Adam, how far out did you have to go?
  21. Seams like a waste of time to me , you pissed off the fish when you impaled him with the hook , dragged him through the water out of his home .He's going to be a little pissed off. I like to put them in the cooler and let them cool down. it works too. Never had one pissed off when I go to take them out of the cooler.
  22. I have a tracker targa and I love it . does pretty well on the big water. 1-2 ft fine don't run in 3-4 feet. Fully loaded 38-42 accross the water. 115hp optimax and a 15 hp kicker
  23. too windy to fish lets go surfing. here is a couple of shots of the Beach here in Milwaukee. Found a couple surfers. I would think the water was a little cold to do that. wax up those boards.
  24. a slob-o-sorus
