  3. Went out with Russ and Gerry from Adrenalin charters today and had a great time , this fishing has slowed somewhat but we were not after Coho , We finished with a mixed bag of coho , lake trout , and Chins. It wasn't my job to count the fish just bring them in Russ my pipe in with a count, Arms had a big work out. Thanks Russ and Gerry
  4. I will have to adjust slower and see if that helps my program, I have been running at 2.0 -2.2
  5. Nice job Kyle better days to come, priceless sunset.
  6. These are brand new,in the box. I set one up to try with 3 colors, seemed slow on the retrieve and the drags seamed light. Will the drag improve with use or should I sell them and get other okumas ? such as xp 302's. Or possibly magna 40. The 302's I have right now are great for lead core to5 color.
  7. Does anyone use these for trolling, and what are your opions on them?
  8. Try Greenbay area or Door county, you can do all the stuff you mentioned in your post.
  9. Ok last year I bought and spooled up 2 rods with 32 copper , approx 300 ft on each rod. I can seem to remember at what depth they will run. Is there a depth chart out there for 32 lb copper?
  10. Nice Russ, The bite seems to be better early, we only managed 2 on sunday, got out late and blown off with the n ne winds.
  11. Walmart or kmart 120 qt igloo . 65-80 dollars Think I spent 65.00 on ine last year. wasn't on sale at the time.
  12. If you strip the boat , you will need to neutralize any stripper that is left and wash down the entire hull. You will either apply a Epoxy coating or a wash-primer, then you can paint over that. W/O the primer the paint will delaminate over time. Its very similar to painting a car or an aircraft. You can buy the materials at a paint jobber, where your local body shop will buy there material. I have worked in a bodyshop for the last 26 years , I will guess that the primer Joe is talking about is a conversion coating and then he applied a wash type primer over that.
  13. You guys looked great out there. Nice Jackets, was that the day you guys slayed them in the afternoon?
  14. By far the best spoon in my boat has been the blue dolphin,
  15. After using a wire dipsy and it has been the hottest pole on the boat this year , I would say wire dipsy.
  16. Guess you just have to get a longer net. Nice!!!!!!!!
  17. June already? wow coho still here. Out with my wife Janice today . Just beutiful weather, both of us manged to get a burn while fishing for 2.5 hours. Left the north gap and headed northeast to 120, set lines and proceeded out to 200. What a rush it was, started with a double and ended on a triple , wish we would have had someone to drive with all the fish jumping on our baits made boat control a little difficult. Best depths were from 140 to 190. had a 6 rod spread out every pole took a hit at least once, at one point we had only one rod out in the water. Best rod again was a wire dipsy set on 1 , 140 out. 10" spin Dr. and a green howie fly. finished the day 9 for 10 Going to hit the water again tomorrow this time we have a driver. Tight lines , Jim
  18. watching the weather will help, west winds are good to a point , then they get obnoxious. nice to get the boat stinky I'll bet.
  19. I will assume that you are in south shore too, nice fish board. Havent' had my braided dipsys out in a while. HOT rod has been a wire dipsy. along with the boards.
  20. Let Me know when the collars come in .
  21. Very nice silver King, would love to have those guys here,
  22. Looks like your dialed in on those Kings, Nice!!
  23. As most of you know the weather has just been terrible this spring , The nicest day so far of the year and we were on the water. Out with my son Nick and My cousin Mike. Most of the action was heard to be out in deeper water so that is where we went . Fished in water 90-140 feet deep, with the best results in 120-140fow. 17for 19 ,The best ever in My boat. At one point in the morning I couldn't set a rigger rod , as every time I started one of the other rods would go off. The hottest rod turned out to be a wire dipsey 180LOC 1.5 set . This rod had to go at least 10 times during the morning. 9" Spin Dr. with a green howie fly produced . Every rod that was set out brought in fish. 16 Coho and 1 Lake trout. What a morning, 90% of the fish came in the same 2 mile area. we didn't even make 2 full passes over the area. Then a surprise we got when I pulled the 2 rigger rods. yes 2 more fish , a grand total of 17 for 19 , on a beautiful Sunday morning. Waves less than 1 foot. and warm for once. Tight Lines Jim
  24. Nice Job Kyle , that guy at the back looks a little cold. Nice King did you get a weight on it?
