The first part of the video was shot inside the harbor, the latter was out side. If your familiar with Milwaukee they left out the South Gap to avoid the waves.

have you seen any of the videos of the waves crashing into and over that light house? be hell trying to get into the boat. I would like to stay there for a week though, as long as I had a safe place for my boat .

yeah its hard to miss the main gap light house , I have heard that it might be for sale, it has amenities for 7 people . Parking might be a little difficult on windy days. when its foggy you might get a headache too.

kinda makes you wonder if the weather is going to stay nice.

Well no green fish this St. Patties day but a few Browns. Went of for less than 2 hours and made a pass and 1/2 and yielded 6 for 8 . Some guys caught almost 50. But I think they were out early. Water in the harbor is almost at 50 already. too warm for this time of year. Heard the coho aren't far away. That would be ok with me . I wonder how long this weather is going to last? Funny thats the main gap light house in Milwaukee and Mitchell Field tower . Looks like they did there testing in Milwaukee's Harbor!

so in essence as you describe it I will be running similar to what you would run on a mast system. I will also be running 2 dipsys and 2 riggers , with the possibility of running multiple keel weight rods. that would depend on how many fisher people I have on the boat with me . How are you marking the line so you have 50 - 100 ft leads , are you using line counters? when are you putting the boat in the water? I will be out there this weekend again.

Since the coho are usually in the top 20 feet the rods with the keel weights will be running 5 to 15 feet deep . but way out to the side . where you might run a 1 or 2 color rig.

I plan on running keel weights for my high lines for coho and I am wondering what distance ahead of the flasher I should run the weight? Also does anyone have any info for weights 1/2 oz , 5/8 oz , 3/4 oz 1 oz . how deep will they run?

Well old man winter has given us a big break this last winter and what right now looks like an early spring. My son Nick and I were able to get out today and went 4 for 4 on browns. Nothing really big but fish none the less. A little bumpy with the chop . We made about 1/2 a normal pass before we called it, and as we are putting things away at the launch the wind dies off to just a whisper.We laughed about it knowing there will be more days and warmer weather to fish . It was still great to get the boat wet and toss out the skunk early. Tight Lines Jim

I spoke with a rep from lowrance and he told me that the fish and chip would be the one to get . There is also some new stuff coming out with navionics. But he wasn,t sure who's maps they were going to be yet.

I would run the 200 copper on one side and the 300 copper and the full core on the other , keep the shoot open for fish

why not run 45 lb coppers and save the guns for lifting weights :eek:

If my memory serves me correct you tie a double willis knot when using braid, or like copper some guys use a real small swivel. The trick to the willis knot is when you push back the outer braid and remove the lead don't pull on the braid to make it tight before you put the mono inside of it. leave it loose it makes all the difference. once you have the mono in the braid cinch the knot down tight. As long as I do it that way I can tie it without my glasses, otherwise forget it, you will have a hard time getting the mono to bottom out on the lead.

Wow that fish made one hell of a catch, all I catch fishing is fish. I think its awesome !!!! I like the fact that it's cartoonish. It brings out the kid in me. I'd buy a shirt like that!

There used to be a product that you could buy at the State Fair for your glasses they would put it on and you glasses would not fog up . Other than that you would have to warm up the glass somehow so that the fog would not form. 12 volt hair dryer? I have the same problem on the way back in at dusk , and have to drive with my head above the windshield.
