  1. Good news.... The two lost nets floating in the Ludington Waters have been located and have removed this afternoon 6/18/2014.Â
  2. Since those nets are floating, I think they were lost elsewhere and blew in, just a guess? They did not have any anchored in 60 ft of water the past year and nobody is actively fishing now. Maybe they are pieces of the nets they were lost over winter? I'm just glad there is some action to try to communicate and get them out.
  3. Got this last night 6-17 from the LCBA: IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL BOATERS: TWO 1300 FT NETS HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO BE FLOATING FREELY OUT IN FRONT OF LUDINGTON. KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR THESE NETS. APPROXIMATE LOCATION IS IN 61 FEETOF WATER LL 5500/2900. ANOTHER NET IS REPORTED TO BE IN 106 FEET OF WATER 5500/2900. THE AREA IS BASICALLY STRAIGHT OUT FROM THE HARBOR. if YOU SEE THESE EITHER ONE OR BOTH OF THESE NETS PLEASE CALL THE Michigan DNR RAP LINE. WITH LINE OF STORMS THAT AFFECTED THE AREA TODAY THE NETS HAVE MOVED AND A SEARCH IS ON FOR THESE 2 NETS.
  4. Nice job on the fish!
  5. That was a quick limit, nice job Frank!
  6. Thanks for the report Bob
  7. That was a nice catch for the short time you were on the water.
  8. Congratulations on winning the tournament and thanks for the info!
  9. This was the list published a few weeks ago but since then some nets were removed: http://www.ludingtonsalmon.com/fil_a/Net%20Alert%2005-24-2014%20(1).pdf As the update link said, nets were lost over the winter and they were searching to recover them. Nets could have moved over winter due to weather, winds and currents. Hopefully, they got the ones Matt spotted markers by since he was last out. Got an email from LACA on June 2 that more were removed: CFS Steve Huff, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Law Enforcement Division, Commercial Fish Enforcement Unit has informed us that five nets have been located and removed: NETS REMOVED BY CONTRACTOR Depth 110 FOW. Location N43 58.821 W086 35.541 Depth 150 FOW. Location N43 58.513 W086 36.399 Depth 1145 FOW. Location N43 56.818 W086 35.400 Depth 90 FOW. Location N43 52.564 W086 29.505. Depth 150 FOW. 10. Nice job in some rough seas. Today was my day I could fish and saw that wind forecast and stayed home.
  11. Nice catch Matt. All the nets are abandoned, not marked properly and a private contractor is trying to pull them all. They got most of them but were still searching for the last couple. Round balls are not the required marking so hopefully, they got a sonar hit, threw out a ball to mark the spot and will be coming back to pull it.
  12. I can't make it but said I would send a donation. Can you PM me your address and I'll mail a check?
  13. I can get on with my phone today.
  14. Great win Don, congratulations!
  15. Fishing is going strong, we set up in 50 ft of water and trolled west to 100ft and we had steady picking. We kept working in and out and got 16, threw one back and were done at 9:41AM. All kings. The best was a new moonshine mace face on a SWR on a rigger down 26 ft. MS sarge and chrome flounder pounder were good in riggers at 20 and 30 ft. A DW SS reverse riverside took a couple on a half core. Took one a meat rig down 50 ft. Full cores and 150 coppers hit a few. Good luck!
  16. I can't access it on my Galaxy S4, getting an error message, just started doing it in the last week. I don't use tapatalk, I just use the browser. Hopefully, the ap Chad is working on will fix it.
