Ludington 7-15 Finally got my new boat mostly rigged and on the water. We started off the project working 100 to 140ft of water. We got 3 trout there, 2 off riggers on the bottom with a crome spin doctor with a green/chart wirly gig and one off a mag low diver out 240ft with a tin can dodger and green/chrome dw wirly gig. We pulled lines and ran west 6 miles and set up on the 37 line had a good bite out to the 39 line working in and out. We hit 9 fish there but only landed 3 of them. Hit and lost a nice king. We boxed a steelhead, coho and laker there. Fish came on a MS sarge on a 300 copper, a yeck fireball on a 150 copper, a yeck jerid on a 200 copper and the same fish doctor and dodger went out there too. Also hit one on a 10 inch white/chrome spin doctor and blue fairways fly.

TEAM KICK'R East Chicago, IN 7/8-9

Bummer on the forecast, hope NOAA is wrong on that. They are wrong a lot. We are not fishing the tourney this year since Friday will be our first trip on my new boat. Glad to share how we do, maybe it can help you guys. I hate missing it but I got delayed with the autopilot and didn't want to enter it never having fished this boat yet. My crew this weekend is not experienced either. -

My buddy got a couple upper teen kings yesterday in Ludington so it might be looking up for the tourney weekend. -

Nice catch! Maybe I'll see you in Ludington this weekend. Get your lake trout program dialed in, haven't been a lot of silver fish around the last couple weeks. It always seems like some salmon show up for the tourney but it is a week early this year. -

We ran to little point and had a good bite for a short trip, storm chased us off. Ended up 10 for 15 but let 4 small kings go. Green dolphin on a low diver out 120ft. Holographic green dolphin on a rigger down 70 and a dw bumble bee free slider took 3, 1 on the slider. Super slim bumble bee on a 150 copper. Mag moonshine blue flounder on a 225 copper took 2. Moonshine mace face on a rigger down 55ft. Fish came in 85 to 110 ft of water. Good luck. Sent from my SM-G920V using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

One of my fishing mentors used to say "when the cottonwood flies, the bite dies." I've found that to be somewhat true for salmon and it is usually the harbinger of the June lull. There are always some fish to be caught but big boxes can be tougher this month. Good luck next time out.

Nice job on the limit!

We started out on the bank a few miles south and worked SW in 90 ft of water. It was slow early. First fish came in 120ft on a full core with a mag moonshine UV flounder pounder. That went a few times. We worked out to 350ft and turned back north. Our best water was 280 to 310 ft of water. We ended up 11 for 16 with 10 kings and 1 coho. Others came on a high diver with a SS green dolphin out a 100, it took 3. A low diver with a white and chrome pro troll with a blue fly out 100ft. A slider down 60 with green alewive spoon took 2. Had a star burst slider and a frog slider both take 1. A 3 color with a super slim fireball took a couple. A five color with a moonshine mag UV bloody nose went twice. My daughter put the hurts to 3 nice kings and a small one. [/url] She got the biggest of the day. Sent from my SM-G920V using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
