  1. That's funny. Steve, good effort and I'm sure it'll change shortly.
  2. Big Weenie here, in fact kind of surprised they aren't one of the companies on the list.
  3. Since this was the only day I could get out in the next couple of weeks we decided to risk the waves and go out in the am. Left the launch about 7:30 (an hour later than original because of the wave report). The waves were a solid 3-4 with a few 6's mixed in and the new boat handled them great. Marked some monster bait balls about 70-80 but no bigger fish so we went out to about 150 and trolled in with the waves. At 80 we trolled back out and fought the waves but by about 11am it was 2 footers with an occasional 4 in there. The glow pattern early didn't work very well but it could've been the tough fishing with the waves too. It picked up as the waves went down and we ended up with 6. I know we had another one on that came unhooked so it was a definite 6 for 7 and had a full core that came flipped the planner but nobody home several times so don't know if it was fish or waves. Most fish came between 150 and 120. Here's what worked: 18 pound king on a mongolian beef on a wire dip set on 2 180 out. Huge Laker on 300' of 45lb copper with BLL patriot Decent king (6-8) on rigger at 40 with BLL mod veggie Decent king on free slider on rigger at 60 with Fuzzy Bear early bird 17 pound king on the small sized michigan spoon NBK dip on 1.5 136 out Decent king on SS super slim green with silver (don't know the name) Overall not a bad day and were still catching fish at 1pm when we had to pack it up especially since when we figured out they wanted small spoons run pretty fast 2.8-3.2 SOG and no FF bite that I could get going.
  4. Nice job Mark. I marked a bunch of bait around 70-80 in the am but the fish were out in 120. Must be they moved up to the bait.
  5. Wow, awesome experience. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Hi, I've got a quick question about my trailer. Since the trailer is new to me whenever I take it on trips I always check the bearings after the trip to see if they're warm. This last trip the back axle wheels were a little warm. Not hot at all but could feel a little warmth. They're also the wheels that have the surge breaks on them. Was that heat from the brakes, or should I be starting to watch those bearings? One other thing, why the heck are the brakes only on the back wheels. The trailer is tongue heavy and don't cars use their front breaks more for stopping? Thanks
  7. Wow, looks like copper was pretty hot. Thanks for the report and nice job.
  8. Nice job, and thanks for the report.
  9. Nice job and thanks for the report.
  10. Well, turned out to be a pretty tough day. We could only run 6 rods since it was another father and me with our young kids. Their first time on the boat and everything went well so it wasn't a total loss. As to fishing, ended up 4 for 5. Only kept 2 of the 4 and released the 2 shakers. Started at 80 feet and fought the crowd around 120 for one pass and decided to try deep. Took 3 in a row quickly at about 185 and thought it was game on but it didn't turn out to be so. Here's what worked: Moonshine carbon on rigger at 80 took 2 Fuzzy Bear early bird on free slider on above rigger Mongolian Beef on wired dipsey set at 2.5, 225 out. Had one on a happy meal braid dipsey at 130 set at 2.5 This is honestly the first fish this year that I've lost that I thought was well hooked up. I've been truly amazed at how well the new upgraded drags have worked and my learning to keep hooks super sharp.
