tring to decide what to add to my spread next year and started getting confused when I looked at the percision trolling guide. I have the presion big water edition and I was reading it today. According to the book a 300' 45lbs copper @ 2.0 is at about the same depth as a full core. And a 124 walker dive dives faster on the 2 setting than the 3. On the divers I would assume that it is just a mix up of the color lines and setting. But what about the copper and core. I thought a full core was about a 150' copper. What do you think A full and half core run (depth) And a 150' and 300' 45lbs copper run Thanks Steve

What is the closest launch to lake mi. I have not been out of holland and have no idea where to launch. I can launch at a dirt ramp if there is one. And how long of a ride is it from the dnr ramp in holland. I am heading over in nov. to try some lake steelie fishing with my dad and son. Thanks Steve

I have 2 riggers and I see alot of post about sliders. What are they and how do they work? Are they on your rigger pole or a seperate pole? I run stackers but I am always looking for something new. Thanks Steve

I just did today now they say it was the transducer but they have already sent a spare that did not work and the other one I bought did not work. I have installed a garmin for a finder now but I kinda want the bird to work after the cash I spent on it. Thanks

Yeah I checked that and it was turned on. Thanks Steve

I recently purchased a new unit for my boat. It refuse to read any depth. It has been back to bird 2 times and they have been very good with the service but they sent it back both times with a note that it works fine an the repair center. Today this what I did to trouble shoot the unit myself to no avail. To make sure it was not an interferance problem I sat on a dock with a 12v battery and the unit and trans ducer. No differance To make sure it was not a transdeucer issue I had an extra TD that I purchased for another mount. No differance To check the connections at the base I took the mount apart and held the power and TD plugs in place by hand. No diifferance. Is their something else I should be tring before I have to call them again and explain that maybe I'm just to stupid for humminbird. Thanks Steve:confused:

I think she likes the sea swirl 21 bow rider. Salesman said it has the same hull and ride of the CC an WA. we are going for a test ride this saturday. I also see grady white and tropy has bow riders. I need to be under 21' or it won,t fit in the barn with the other toys. Steve

My wife wants a new boat next year. We have just started looking but I think we will have to get a bow rider because I have 4 kids and she will want another on next year so that will be 7 on a family day on the water.. Has any one been in one of the fishing style bow riders. i.e. the grady white 226 tourney or the seaswirl 21' DC. I think I am going to need a bath room so I won't be going much smaller. Or some feed back from people with other dual console big water boats. Thanks Steve P.S A new boat and another kid will equal a new suburban too.

I have a troll master not a control king. The control box is about 4''x7''. and has a dial and a coulple of buttons. and a digital display. Go to their web site and they have a ton of info about them. I have my kicker tied to the main motor with an esay steer bar. it works ok.

Are you lookimg for a full set of controls or just a trolling adjutment control box. I just insatlled a trolling box fron controll king. I allows me to make micro adjust. It will adjust 1/10 of a mile an hour (gps). Cabelas also has a trolling throttle controll they sell. Steve

Sorry to here that. Atleast you could get your boat back on the trailer. Where I fish in the spring someone stole my buddies bunks and left the tire. Steve

My wife wants to go to chicago for a weekend. I was wondering what are some of the better resturants and entertainment in town. That she would like. All info is greatly appreciated Thanks Steve

Just keep them at the back of the boat. Unless your my kids they always want to ride in the cabin when its rough. At first I thought it was because they were scared but then I found out it was so they get bumped around. A weeks ago in some 4'ers my sonn said it was like cedar point.

Welcome to the site. We plan on fishing Port Sanilac and Harbor beach next year. We Have a cabin in caseville and usually fish grindstone and the bay. But this year we have been over in Lake michigan most of our salmon trips.
