  1. Hi, We are wondering what marina to use at New Buffalo for a 7 nite stay over the 4th of July. Oselka or Muncipal? Thanks.
  2. Good job. We had plans to go out of Muskegon but the small craft advisories kept us home.

  4. Thanks for the info. I am supposing he can be reached at The Fish Dock? (231)759-0496
  5. Are the nets still out there? Would that area still be holding fish? Thanks.
  6. Sure does. That is their rate all year long. Not just in the 'off' season.
  7. Can someone please advise on the Muskegon marina(s) that are still open for transients? If the current weather pattern lasts, we will leave on Friday and stay thru Monday. Prefer the west side of Muskegon Lake. Talked to Torresen Marina and the guy told me their shower facilities are still open, they have a good boat launch, and the daily rate is .50 cents per foot. Sounds like a good prospect...? Thanks, Dennis & Beth
  8. Shots taken from the harborcam thru the rain and wind. It's amazing the sun was even visable. Kind of looks like a fireball. There were huge breakers going over the top of the south light. http://www.ludingtondailynews.com/webcam/harbor.php
  9. good to hear from you captain perfect ahole.

  10. Thanks Rich. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. The 25 pushed her at 7mph and the 15 does 5mph. The 15 is quiet, electric start and tilt is very nice, and the remote throttle control is awesome. Also, since I tied into the ship's fuel supply, I don't have to tote a portable fuel tank around. I'm confident we would be able to limp home on the kicker. Good Luck, DD
  11. hey fuker, 10/27 sucks.

  12. October 17, 2009 - Muskegon Roller coaster waves make for an entertaining fishing trip Check out the cannon ball movement on the display. Caught a 10lb steelhead in 110fow on a braided dipsy (orange size #0, orange snubber, 100' back) with a Greasy Chicken Wing magnum. 13. Thanks Charbby. Man it got cold Saturday night. Frost on the gunnels in the morning.
  14. 51° in the marina basin. Thanks.

  16. If we didn't have the autopilot we might have lost our fish and got a DIVORCE. Did you get those on the downriggers? What is candy and snowsnake? Thanks.
  17. Hello All, We just finished a 2 day trip on Lake Michigan out of Muskegon. Didn't have great luck but caught a few. (see FISHING REPORTS, http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15516&goto=nextnewest The report has a short video of the wave action that kept us rockin' and rollin'. We may be able to get back out there next week. Thanks for all your help. DD "If anything's gonna happen, it's gonna happen out there."
  18. We went out yesterday and today. Got skunked yesterday from 45' to 80' with roller coaster waves. Today we fished from the pier heads out to 150' in rough seas again. Went 2/4 with a decent steelhead (110fow, braid dipsy size 0, 125 back, greasy chix wing mag) and a small king. It was nice to talk with 1MAINIAC for a while. Check out the video of, "A Rough Day On The Lake". http://s277.photobucket.com/albums/kk80/DiverDennisL/MUSKEGON/?action=view&current=MOV01366.flv

  20. Thanks Mike. Yes, added a text layer (no border, transparent background) with Photo Shop CS.DD
  21. Wife and I fished from 3 till 7 and went 2/2. Much better than yesterday when we got skunked out in 200fow. Headed SW and starting marking fish right away so we set up in 50fow on a S troll. Braid dipsy (size 0) (Gander Mt. greasy chicken wing, on 2, 100 back) went 10 minutes after it was set. 6lb king. 20 minutes later the other braid dipsy went (double orange crush, on 2, 125 back). 8lb steel. "Oh boy", I thought, "the bite is on!" But that was it. Two fish in the first hour and then zip. Nothing on the downriggers. Surface temp 68, down 40 it was 64, troll speed 2.8-3.2. Marked tons of bait balls or huge schools of something. Perch?? We trolled south, turned around, marked fish, turned around. Nice day to be on the water.
  22. You smell something. Yep. No luck today. Started 2 miles south of the nets in 100' FOW. Worked out to 220' and brought it back. Zippo for us today. Sorry.
  23. Thanks Matt. We are going out this evening. Will let you know what we do. DD
  24. Thanks for the info. We'll be there.
