has the ice broke on st clare? i try to get over to that side early as possible. I usually launch out of Trenton. The earliest have tried has been the last week of March. What is the rules now for fishing Can side? What is the easiest way to get a temp license?
I went to a seminar put on by Mike a few years ago. I had been fishing for a while but there is always something to learn. I know its alot of money for the times but if i can get some person to person knowledge then i think its worth it. They always seem to give out something at the seminars that their not going to tell you on a web site. By the way thanks for the color chart Mike.
Yes i have opened it up and i understand the cost involved. i have already replaced the unit with another lowrance unit but i have no intentions of spending that much to fix this unit. I asked if someone knows someone that works on the units. Lowrance does not fix the units they replce them.
I'm not so sure about the customer service for Lowrance. I have a unit that will power up sometimes but most of the time it will not. I ended up replacing the unit and went to the online service to see about repair. They do not repair the unit you send in but for a really high fee (almost the cost of the unit) they will replace you unit. Does anyone know of a repai shop for fishfinders? I can't believe that there is not something simple that i'm not finding.
I run a 90hp with a trolling plate. I bought it a few years ago but never installed it. Put it on last year. Wished i had put it on win i bought it. I can run at .5 mph easy. There great for a 2 stroke. Helps keep the plugs from fouling out. Also it helps to get the boat up on plane. Draw back is making sure it is in the right position for what your doing
I need to buy new batteries this year. I run a 55lb thrust trolling motor on a 16ft deep v walk thru. The trolling motor handles the boat ok but I run it hard when the wind blows up. I want to put an onboard charging system on my boat. I have looked at the Cabelas AGM system but there seems to be alot of bad reviews. I just came back from the boat show and there was a dealer from VMAX??? I also have looked at the Optimas. $$$ Anybody got a good system. I'm looking for good batteries with the right charging system.
I usually fish Detroit in the early spring for walleye but due to fiancial restraints I would like to fish the westside this year. I fish out of GH but have never had much luck with the browns. What about Port Sheldon? Thought I might fish there for Browns and maybe pick up a walleye or 2.
Went out GH Fri. morning. Took the wife. Got there late. 3 for 4. 2 lakers on a blue ice fly with white spin doctor on dipsey at 225 back. 1 king on a moonshine blue ladderback at 80ft on rigger. Fished 120 to 130 ft. First time out this year on the big pond. GREAT TIME
I'm not a biologist but I saw a fisherman speaking about fighting the asian carp with predator species such as perch and walleye. I think by the time the government does anything it will be to late. Can we as fisherman not gather together to fund a more aggresive stocking of the lakes and possibly curve the asian carp destruction of our playground and work place.I would be glad to pay a membership fee or a donation that would be used in this effort. What about the rest of you?
I have been fishing out of Grand Haven for a few years and I would like to try Muskegon. I plan on going in the morning and I was wondering if anyone had any pointers. North, south? How's the water temp?
the smaller stuff around 40 ft is bait fish the larger curves are what your looking for drop your riggers down to run just above the curves and if the fish so desire FISH ON
