  1. Cocktail Shrimp under a float works very well sometimes
  2. Here in the West I like the Folbe rod holder and they are holding up great http://www.folbe.com/fishing-rod-holders/advantage-rod-holder/view-all-products.html
  3. I have 2 black and 2 orange and only use them for Kokanee here in the west and found that color didn't make much different's. I do sometimes run a cowbell off the rigger weight and the release on it.

  11. Clutch is fine and the other parts I need are on the way. Thank You Riviera Trolling Systems http://www.rivieratrolling.com/ for all the help. Steve
  12. I have a soft spot Riviera Rigger as they were my first one's I owned. Looks like I need on clutch also. I have wire on one a and braid on the second one. I like braid but not when I have too many lines out. Here we can only use one rod per person. So most of my fishing is in The Columbia River or smaller streams So getting some downrigger time will be a great change and make me feel at home on the big pond.
  13. Thanks. Hope the kids activity's aren't as busy this summer but sometimes you have to go with the flow. I only have a 16' boat and wind/waves dictate if I fish or not but keep looking at some used walk arounds and might have to dive in.
  14. I have Big Jons manuals on the boat now but the Riviera were $125 for the pair and will only use them in the salt 2 or 3 time a year
  15. I have a pair of Riviera electric downriggers I'm going to use here in Washington State and wondering how well the motors hold up. They are old but like brand new. Everything works great and only thing there isn't a auto stop. Thanks Steve
  16. Is there anyone going out of Waukegan/Kenosha I'm coming back for my 30 class reunion and taking a charter on 8/6 but will be there from 7/31-8/9 and would like to fish some more if possible. Thanks Steve
  17. I tried the Pline floroclear steelhead fishing this year and liked it and bought more at different tests. I plan to use the 25 and 30lbs this summer and fall for Columbia river salmon
  18. Here in the west I steelhead fish all winter when water isn't blown out. Or I build a few rods repairs for friends. Also I'm a welder and I'm building stuff for my daughters high school band, carts, rack and drum stands
