  1. Working on a couple sodas right now
  2. I dropped out off to Ken yesterday, really good guy. Should have it back next week
  3. on the north east end of the lake you will find MCC http://www.muskegonconservationclub.org/ don't know much about them other than they do offer a dock with a hunk of land so you are not stuck on a dock, good luck.
  4. Pulled the axle, Richfield trailer in GR is going to cut the spindle off and weld a new one in, I guess this is a normal thing for them.
  5. are you using beer as bait? could make yourself a new fishin' hat out of her.
  6. I might just go that route and not mess with it. looks like 8 bolt hold the axle on just line it up and be done with it.
  7. Pulled the boat out at lunch today to haul back to work, about 2 miles from the shop I seen a little smoke from the trailer tire, so I slowed down to 10 MPH to make it to the shop, after work ran home grabbed my tools and a bearing kit. just pulled everything apart, hub, spindle every thing is shot. not a place left to even put bearings. has any one every just replaced these items on a welded axle? it looks like I can just cut off the old spindle and weld a new one in place. or do I have to replace the whole axle? it is a 24 year old trailer, but I just replaced the bearings two years ago... kinda sucks:mad::mad:
  8. I have been using the Sierra filters for the past 15 years with no issues, oil's in my opinion is what you feel comfortable with.
  9. I have an older set of Cannons Digitaltrol II, I like the auto/up/stop function. a little slow, but I bought them used 2 years ago to get me started. I'll keep using them until they puke.
  10. I want to pull it out, but I think I am going to wait until next week.
  11. Sweet. Nice fish
  12. I have a Garmin Combo, It has a 4 inch color screen. you can do just GPS, depth graph or combo both, very easy to switch between. I think it is a 440 series. had it for two years now. I leave it on GPS most of the time as I still have my old depth unit mounted right next to it.
  13. Very nice Nick looks to be a keeper.
  14. we added a new pup to the house yesterday. 9 week old lab / boxer mix baby boy. so far seems to be a very good pup
  15. I have used both Off Shore and Church boards, and currently use just the Church boards, only issue I have had one issue. the plastic pins wear thru and you lose the board when you have a fish on. we replace the plastic pin with a stainless steel home made pin, no boards lost since.
  16. here is a thought. check the penny slots area in the little river casino, that is where most of the hollanders will hang out. you might be able to grab a seat on one of those gray hair express bus trips. or just dive into the luggage storage area after the driver puts away the wheel chairs... Boy I get very sarcastic this time of the year. Where is our soft water !!!
  17. don't forget your juice box and gummy bears:grin:
  18. I would say the GPS/Fishfinder combo. would not leave the dock without it.
  19. boat will come out end of March, need to replace bellow and shift cable, hope to hit water by second week in April.
  20. This is a great work instruction. my reels are brand new and only seen 5 uses last summer so I had not plan on tearing them down this far, but I might just have to try one this weekend for some thing to do.
  21. when I bought my convectors last year they came with a small bottle of oil. it appears to be a very light spindle type oil.
  22. You know it has been a long winter you find yourself just hangin in the garage taking pictures of your glow spoons waiting for the first morning fishing trip. anyway here is my before and after shots of what I plan to run on my first trip out. any suggestions from our humble group where I should put each in the spread? planning 1st trip out in early April weather permitting.
