in the past I have just left them attached to flasher, but the lead becomes a mess.
I'm going to try ziplock bags for now and removing them from the flashers.
I like the swim noodle idea.
I have seen guys use a arrow storage box, but seems a bit big and bulky, I have enough boxes in the way already

80' - Michigan side of pond

Snug Harbour state park launch is right there- launch is ok for anything under 24' Its a quick shot to channel-.
I run a 24 Fourwinns and used this launch last summer, it's tight, not a goto ramp for my size boat.

I'll be out of storage March 15th, plan to be ready for water 1st week in April. want to try the south end of the lake for some Ho's

Steve.
I don't know of any right on the lake, but you want to be on the north side of the lake for a cabin.
20+ yrs ago there were a few places on the south side near the ovals. But the were more of monthly rentals.

Of the spin doctors, a white blade with eater Green Halo, or Mountain Dew with a matching fly is very hard to beat.
A green blade with cracked ice glow tape and a Pickled Sunshine fly is great for mid day.
If you only want "Spindoctors" disregard this.
These two setup are on my low and high divers to start every day, once the diver bite kicks in. (the rigger will have one of the above SD.)
The white protroll with a Big Weenie Poofster on the low diver (set as the lowest set), and Protroll Mountain dew with a Siggs Rigs Mountain dew Pulse Fly on the high diver.
That mt dew was the setup that caught my life time biggest on my high diver-braid out of Muskegon last Aug
26+ Ken gave me one the day before

Here's a series of pics i posted on the LOTSA Website several years ago showing the knot most of us use, it's simply and half hitch and an overhand knot. I've had that knot go 3+ seasons on Lake Ontario Kings and not had to re-tie.

Tim
I use the same knot, also add a bead. Acts as an autostop and keeps the swivel out of your rollers.

I'm going to try that one.

Here is Terry's secret. what every road kill he passes on the way to the ramp he picks it up, ties it to a dock line and drags it along the side of the boat. the fish go crazy over this...
you should give it a try.
what works best is Skunk. make sure to rub the dead critter all over yourself and the crew for best results before putting in the water.

Kyle, very nice setup it looks like you have solid glass on three sides and a soft curtian in the back.
I plan on having curtians all the way around.
looking in the gallery I want to do some thing similar to this
also plan to add the following
A 4 switch power box to control 2 LED floods to light up back of boat,
LED deck light for under the top, a remote flood / spot for the front additional running lights red/green/white.

Terry's former boat the old Dirty Dog had a homemade hard top on it. I don't think he built it but may be able to point you in the right direction. My rig has a factory hardtop. I would think that one could be fabricated rather easily. Maybe a pickup topper would be a good start. There are lots of them available at reasonable prices. Being able to TIG weld or knowing someone that does would be a plus. Fiberglass skills would also be nice.
thanks frank,
I do ok with fiberglass, and can cut the alum, and have resource for TIG.
I'm thinking of build a wood top frame, then attaching 2" alum tube to that. the shell will be 1/8' plywood top and bottom, plan to fill the inner space with foam for sound. then glass the whole thing.
what is going to be tricky is attaching to rocket launcher but I have a few ideas.

on my last trip of the year it became a very long day for reasons I won't discuss here.
anyway after being very tired we get the boat on the trailer and start heading home from Whitehall about midnight (we started in Muskegon at 6am). I forgot to take down the soft top. the next morning I look out at the boat and think where did the top go???
all I had left was a couple of the frame tubes.
so, I'm thinking of adding a hardtop to the boat and hooking it into the rocket launcher that I built last winter.
anybody else every do this?
looking for ideas and suggestions.
