  3. here is the link to the Muskegon one, http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/res/recon/station-mkg.html this is great that Holland is doing the same. between this and the web cam you can pick your days before you tow all the way to the lakeshore.
  4. no Don has his own crayon's
  5. that works out to nice even math. should put you 55-50 and 45-40 feet down.
  6. http://www.northwoodsoutlet.com/oscommerce/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=4_125&products_id=4125 I think this is the one that Frank is talking about. this is the rods that I use for my braid dispys. they work great.
  7. Nice Job Mark ! it's fun when its like this. you had some nice big fish buddy.
  8. David, two things to try. get a stone or file to sharpen your hooks, I try to run the stone a couple passes each barb before they go back out after every fish. also trolling direction, if your missing alot of fish or they do come in miss hooked turn the boat around 180 and give that a try. nice job on the fish
  9. I run mine the same as what Nick just posted.
  10. SWR is usally a 1 color run on your rigger - I have never tried it, I just lower the ball and run longer leads. some say it has a different swim action? I don't know for sure, never hung out down by the ball to see if it really does or not.
  11. Good job Fred. I'm sure it was fun having the grand kids.
  12. Good luck with the bellows - Keep an eye on the site for looking for riders. I'm sure you will be still able to hitch a ride. even more luck for you and your wife with a new baby.
  13. Good job Frank - A big box is always a good thing....
  14. Thanks Dave for the report - make you wonder what August is going to be like
  15. Nice job - if your 300 copper is 32# it is running 60 feet down, if it is 45# should be running in the 70-75 range. full core should run 50 foot. so running a full core outside of 300 copper you should be ok, but you might have to deal with a tangle from time to time.
  16. Had a full crew today - Dan (diesel), Aaron (Line Dancin'), and my buddy Alex. day started great - crank handle missing off trailer wench. still launched the boat had lines in water around 7. started almost straight out of peir in 60 fow, working our way in and out of 85 - 110 most of the day, North troll, made the turn around the net in just out of Whitehall pulled lines around 1pm just off Duck lake in 75 fow. All King box - 13 for 19 or 20. cooler was full - only room for a couple more. 300 coppers were the hot ticket today. both running a ladder back green and white spoon, one was a moonshine the other was a Great Lakes Lures.(lost due to split ring) the fish were mean, two bent hooks and one hook broke off a barb. smallest was 10lbs, biggest was in the 17-18lbs range. sorry no pic's (so you can if you wish call me a liar:D) would have stayed longer but it was hot and the flies were really bad. Big thanks to Jeff at Great Lakes Marina for taking me out back to borrow a wench crank to get the boat back on the trailer.
  17. Welcome back Jim. Great job. See ya Saturday
