  1. Sign up for our first event. Blood Run Tackle is our first sponsor for the year. Great company and products from right here in West Michigan. One thing different for the weigh in this year, I would like to get pictures of crew and fish to share back here on GLF. Let's hope for some warm weather over the next two weeks to help melt that crap pile of ice that is still hanging out in front of the Holland pier head. any questions please PM me here on GLF
  2. Ok - so it shall be that WMFL you can start any port, but must be at the weigh in at 1pm. Scott, I will send you a pm on suggestions as to where you can park boat during Weigh in.
  3. Off the Market, going to run the old girl this summer.
  4. Great price on the boat Jim, should have no issues selling. I've seen this boat and it's a great setup. It will make someone a great fishing boat for not a lot of cash. good luck with the new boat this summer.
  5. nice job Kevin, I hope Holland open's up soon, don't feel like pulling the boat south.
  6. Both of my batteries are NAPA Marine Deep cycle. I have 4 years on one, 6 on the other. both are still holding a charge very well, but I expect to replace both at some point this season. currently I don't have the graph / electronic separated from the starting battery, but I think I will do so when I change the batteries. I usually run just 1 battery, normal trolling. if I have a full boat and the fridge is going to be running for the guest, I will switch it to dual mode.
  7. I'll share my dock box with you, just leave all your good lures for me to use....
  8. Very Nice Scott,
  9. Nice job Robert, thanks for sharing - Might have to build one my self.
  10. Kevin, just start in Milwaukee the night before in the row boat and we will see you in Holland @ 1pm
  11. Scott, The rules for this season already being posted, rule # "7. Start out of the same port as the weigh in." But if I get no rejections I can make a rule change, I see no issue in changing this rule to be a Tri-port league, Saugatuck , Holland, & Port Sheldon Start, but the weight in will be at the Holland State Park Launch @ 1 pm. Again the purpose of this league is to help each other out & do a little friendly smack talk.
  12. Good Luck Phil, it should go quick at that price.
  13. Welcome to GLF Todd, the 1st event you will have day light at 6am. I normally leave the dock at day break or just before. Most of the guys launch between 5 & 5:30 it is about a 15 - 20 min run to the pier head. Lake Mac is marked well. Except the no wake bouys. If you stay to the south end of the lake you will be fine, I'll pm you a marked up map this weekend.
  14. I might just have to make a few trips to Muskegon this summer, lord knows I can't place...
  15. Very cool
  16. nice job Ed, thanks for the pic's
  17. Maybe Dave want to be on your crew, to help "apply the lotion on the skin"
  18. the change to 6 fish was to line us up more with the Muskegon League, but we really never did anything against them, one thing that we noticed last year was the numbers were down on fish counts, so to make to a little easier on guys like me and Dave, lower the count back to 5 fish. I'll be happy if I can come in with two fish
  19. I'm on my third season with Bloodrun with no issues.
  20. Dave, I think you can fish the 333 in Holland without doing the main event, I myself have not done any of the big tourney. I have done the Friday women's event, those are fun if you can put together a crew of girls.
  21. Not worried out the ramp, it's the storage barn. Might be May 1st before we can get the door open.
  22. I have a puller at the shop Aaron, let me know when your ready and I get it out to you. that was the hardest part when I installed mine last fall. Jim - I think the gear box is the same on the new units.
  23. I have not had that issue Aaron, but the mod's are always watching, I'm sure they will answer soon.
  24. 5 to 7 twist, then just snap the clip. they do have an adjustment to tension on the clip. not as precision as the Chamberlain. but for Deep Lake Michigan fishing they work great. as Matt said just stupid easy.
