  1. Here's another ?. A 2 color swr is 60', has anyone tried using a 50' or 75' short copper as their swr? Just doing alot of thinking right now for the future when I get my own boat. Also why couldn't you run a snap weight on the rigger line before putting in the release to get the same results?
  2. You might want to try Caseville. Its a little closer to Flint than Augres. But either port should get you to some water with good temps.
  3. You got less junk fish than we got on the inner bay Frank, we have to out run em:lol:
  4. Thanks Tom for taking me out, great time. Nice meeting Marc again and getting to fish with him:) Now about this lost at the net thing.....they didn't get all the way to net, and one to my hook with him! Nice pics, I'm going to copy yours for the other site:D Hey that cooler looks nice too:grin:
  5. usually around 1.7,1.8 to 2.0 with harnesses, and 2.2 up to 3.5 with spoons or tots and other stickbaits. Maybe stay down under 3 with the stickbaits, they tend to spin it too fast, but spoons would be fine over 3. jmo.
  6. Nice, gotta love that purple. Been hot all year, and did great for us today.
  7. Nice sticking with it, and glad you enjoyed some of the eastside eyes:D
  8. I didn't have any salmon in fridge, so made a double batch and used a quart of walleye, 1/2 quart bag of walleye cheeks, and a pound of raw peeled shrimp(50-60 count). Was awesome. Just needed a little zip, so added a couple heaping tbsp. of cajun seasoning:D. Was so good, at the left overs for breakfast/lunch/and dinner the next day! Can't wait to make it again.
  9. Nice job Luke, they seem to like that area with the northerly winds. Good job.
  10. Nice job, way to stick it out. A little more speed will help with those farm animals.
  11. Excellent!!! Those are just the right size:D
  12. Sounds like some great fish. You'll have to get some pics of those babies. Happy B-day.
  13. Great job on the fish! I'm guessing the shallow divers? What were the hot colors, firetiger? Also a depth of water with the report would be nice, thanks.....Ralph
  14. I hear ya Frank, do what them doctors tell you, we need you back to 100% Hope it goes fast for you, get er done! If I head that way and you want a meal of eyes, I can drop you bag;)
  15. Thanks Frank, how much longer for you? I think Paul is having withdrawls:lol:
  16. Good job Luke and John, keep hammering them. Looks like a cool down next week, maybe water will stay o.k. into Aug.
  17. Yep, welcome also and excellent catchin:)
  18. Sounds great Adam:) Boy, what a difference out there from last year.
  19. First off thanks to Mike(walley mike) for taking me out for a great time! and thanks to Rich for some info on where to start(even though he caught 3:lol:) Sorry Rich, couldn't resist:). Met Mike in Caseville this moring at 5:30 am along with Rich (walleyeatsag) at waltz restaurant. Got a game plan together and hit launch shortly after 6. Set lines @ 6:30, pulled them at 8:45. Followed Rich and the boat he was with out a ways, then went more N. towards the steeples. Stopped in 40 fow and set lines on a troll towards first of many humps. Hit fish right away, and picked one here and there all the way to hump. Had 8 fish in boat and turned back on our track and picked up 2 more right away. Lost 2 at back of boat, one broke harness. All nice fish! Smallest 2 in pic are 18", biggest is 25"- 4 1/2lber. Most fish were 3-3 1/2lb. range. Trolled @ 1.6-1.8 s.o.g. w/3 oz. bouncers back 50-60' right on bottom. Only a 4 rod spread, 2 inline boards and 2 down rods off corners which took most of fish. No particular color harnesses, 4 or 5 different ones caught fish. Never tried up high, didn't need to:lol: The one by my sandal is the 4 1/2 lber. Oh yeah, didn't even notice until I got to Sebewaing(to barrow their cleaning station) that one had jewelry!
  20. Nice job! Going to have to meet this guy:D
  21. Went out fri. moring with 2 others. We hit the launch at patterson bright and early and ran right out to 1 & 2. Set up with harnesses and inline weights. Fished till 11:30, 5 or 6(all a blur right now)keeper eyes and 2 perch. Came home, made lunch, and took my son and his cousin who's visiting, out off Sebewaing on a different boat. We hit some decent 2 footers w/occasional 3' and went to north after clearing last channel marker. Set up in 12 fow and trolled south w/waves @2.4-2.8 s.o.g. with all tots 50' back. Steady action all the way down to straight out from channel. Purple took most, with perch a close second. Made another run back up and second troll. Lost 2 nice ones, of which one was about 5lbs. Ended with 18 eyes, 2 short of 4 man limit. Kids pulled them all in, and got some walleye101 schooling:lol: Thanks to Jeff for taking me in morning, will look for you again soon, and thanks to Mike for the afternoon. Went back out this morning sat. to same area, and hit it hard and also to south. Only 2 fish:SHOCKED: The moved big time, couldn't find them. Had a great couple days on the water, and heading to Caseville with "walleye Mike" tomarrow:D Here's the 13 we took home, and there was 5 Mike(limige) took not in pic. [
  22. Nice job! Going out this afternoon and give it a go. Pink usually is good, but haven't had much luck on it yet, mainly purples and greens. Will sink some pink and see what happens:D
  23. Nice job Tom! Sometimes quality is alot been then quantity;) The bay cookie cutters are nice, but I bet you didn't have any problem noticing the board move when those fatties bit:D.
  24. Yep, per licensed person or those unlicensed if their under 17. I don't think they would count someone not old enough to hold a rod and reel though:lol: There's many who like to put up some for a rainy day, family get together fish fry's or whatever. Its understandable, you just don't want to advertise it, and bring unwanted hassels.
  25. Actually you can only possess 15 total. 2 limits(10) have to be processed...i.e...canned,smoked,froze solid. Same as salmon has been for years.
