The new stackers are now available from Chamberlain. I know there were some on this site that were looking forward to getting some.

Traverse City is a destination city and port. It has all you have talked about and more with the multitude of inland lakes and the 2 Grand Traverse Bay's (east and west). My 2 biggest smallies came from there 6 lbs and 5 1/4 lbs.If one bay is too windy the other should work. Plus you have Fish Town for suvenier (sp) shopping and Lake Leelanau for really good walleye and smallmouth action. The bay's are so clear you can read a watch in 18 fow on bottom. You also are just a couple of hours from Mackinac Bridge and Mackinaw City.It is a truely beautiful part of Michigan.

Sounds like you picked up where you left off last year Frank ! When you are out fishing the fish are in TROUBLE !!!!

Your ultra lights are fine for perch fishing. A lot of guy's use ultra or light action rods. I use an old 8' glass fly rod for perch. You don't want them to feel the rod when they hit.

Good to hear reports like yours from Erie ! I will be down there in 2 weeks.

For all seasons, all year, all species my bait would be a Rapala and it would connected to a down rigger. Rapala's catch every fish that swims and I can set my riggers from 1' to 200' to cover any range of water.

Thais why they call it fishin...... You will get em next time !

How does that new boat of your work Tom ? Were you able to get her down to walleye speeds ?

The reason for little to no reports is because the MWT tournament is next weekend and everybody is out prefishing for it. I have been hearing a few reports of decent catches out of Linwood but most aren't talking.

Sounds like you had some good catchin goin on ! Glad to hear Erie is heating up. I am planning a trip back down there soon. Have the mayflies started yet ?

It is a great trip, very interesting locks and bridges. Beautiful country, would love to do it again someday. You won't regret it that's for sure !

I was out on the bay on Tuesday also. We took 4 nice fat eyes around 20" in 17 to 19 fow. This is what worked for us. Be careful out there running. I seen some pretty good sized logs floating that would do damage if you hit them.

I would look long and hard at the Starcrafts. They have been building big water boats for years. The one Jay has is SWEET !!
