  3. wtg i have been thinking of mouting a camera on my arch to catch some of the action,something to watch on a rainy windt day

  5. you have to find them in the right place,i met her on a trout stream she was fishing by her self.i took her salmon fishing,was living with her a few monts latter,by far my best fishing partner:D

  7. thanks, i think i am done with the long drives for a while time to concentrate on the eyes in the bay.the board works great its a couple of old shovel handles cut off and some cheep hooks from the hardware with a couple rubber anchor light holders screwed on the back,it hooks right on my tracks.got about $3 bucks into them
  8. we hit the water just before the hordes yesterday,set up at the junk cars.things started off slow we didnt hit a fish till we hit the chalets then it was on we finished our 3 man box in about an hour could not even get all the lines back in the water thin fins 90 to 125 bk orange dodger with a green n gold fly 40 bk and 14 dwn on a rigger and a #9 jointed rapala in orange n black 50 bk 7 dwn on a rigger threw a few back after that and headed home,was one fine day to spend on the water.the wifes fish radar must have been working she called me on thursday and said get the boat ready i took friday off and we are going to the joe.posted picture in the gallery
  9. 300 i think it might have been more,looked like manistee in august,we filled the box this morning to. what a great day
  10. fish the shoreline and zig zag a lot
  11. took 13 or 14 fish on it on easter,the coho chewed the paint right off em:grin:
  12. we just towed down for the day have to spend the day cleaning blood and scales of the boat.things got real messy:grin:
  13. hit st joe this morning and the big pond was on fire over 30 coho to the back of the boat,i release them at the back of the boat with out taking them out of the water or netting and keep the bleeders.brads thin fins in the red tiger fire was hot,solid orange,fire tiger,and gold n black in the new thin fins from storm 85 to 125 bk.we also got a couple of fish on a orange 00 jenson dodger and a green n gold fly and a dw super slim in orange slurpie on riggers 7 and 11 dwn.we set lines at the pump house at 7:15 am and ended at cook at 3:00 pm we stayed in 18 to 28 fow all day.most of the boats seemed to stay inside us.speed was 2.2 to 2.5 this was the best day of spring fishing we have experinced yet:grin:
  14. anybody fishing the big pond sunday we are hitting it in the morning
  15. anywere from 37.7 to 41.2 the water is starting to clear up
  16. we fished tawas bay today 8 for 10 3 browns, 3 walleye,1 laker and a big smallmouth.10 to 14 fow challenger minnows in ghost and clear minnow,f13s in vampire,bleeding pearl,the new yellow pearch and a hj10 in purple sunfire.100 to 120 bk 2.0 to2.2 mph.most fish were caught in the dirty water
  17. you bwill love the trees,we run big jons 3 rod tree makes reading the rods very easy
  18. you cant go wrong with either one ,we have both on our boat the ratcheting berts holder is great for dipsys.just stay away from the lexan holders unless you like losing rods
  19. i dont think it will catch fish,i know it will catch fish.i have 5 of them and the paint is chewed off of 2 of them:grin:

  21. went back to augres today and got the big skunk ,didnt even have a hit.didnt see any caught and only heard of 1 caught.great day for a boat ride though
  22. we will be on the water tommarow probably out of lbm,little less boat traffic:)
  23. double uni knot,easy to tie and very strong
  24. if we do i will be on the water,no work this week
  25. we fished augers for a few hours last night ended up 2 for 3.1 on a blue/silver husky jerk,1 on a f 13 bleeding pearl.lost one on a bleeding pearl #8 shad rap all 65 fb 1.0 to 1.2 mph.fish were caught in 5 to 7 fow. the water is still cold and dirty 38%.we didnt see many fish caught.
