Frank, I agree with you 100% I used to raise fish in my aquariums (Koi mostly) and when it came time to breed them, I adjusted their light to coincide with the amount of daylight during their typical spawn calendar period. And low and behold, they spawned during that time only when the duration of light was right.

Took the wife out this morning and went 1 for 1. Picked up a really nice steelhead straight from the piers in 85 FOW on a west troll. It nailed a double orange crush mag size spoon off a planer board. Lots of fight in him as it took a lot to get him in. The face of my wife says it all. Good luck to all out there!

Finally made it out for a morning trip out of South Haven with my Dad. Had a great morning going 3 for 3 (all Kings). Had a double to start the day with one taking a flasher -fly combo and the other taking a silver and blue ladder back J-plug. 75 FOW on a west troll both on long lines with planer boards. My dad and I were in hysterics since we had never had a double before. Pulled lines early (about 9:30) to do some other things and had a small king on a double orange crush magnum spoon. No idea how long he was on there, but he will be mighty tastey. FYI, if someone found a silver and blue J-plug body floating around this morning, Happy birthday to you! After we took care of some things, we hit the local inland lake and took a few perch and bluegill to round out the fish feast. What a great time with dad to spend a gorgeous day on the water fishing with him like the good ole days. Get to take the wife out with me tomorrow morning. Good luck to all!
