  1. They don't have to be big to catch fish. I fish out of a 17' Tracker and love it. Welcome to the site!
  2. Took Dad and my wife out to South Haven last night. We went 2 for 2. The King came in 75 FOW, 50 feet down on the rigger. She took a Siggs Riggs fly and flasher. We were on a north troll. Shortly after, we caught a small coho on a silver and blue J-plug in 65 FOW, 35 feet down. He came on a east troll. It was a slow night, but a beautiful one. Saw lots of fireworks from the beach all around. Had a great time with Dad and LeAnna and can't wait to go out with them again.
  3. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
  4. Great Job! Sounds like a fun trip.
  5. Awesome. Her smile tells it all!
  6. I agree. The first thing my wife and I did when we got our boat was take a boater's safety course. That was one of the best things we ever did. Trouble is that we realized not everyone took the course, so either they don't follow the rules, or just never learned them to begin with.
  7. Nice Job holding your temper. I probably would have gone postal myself, but I'm a lover not a fighter.
  8. Thanks. I never was good at identifying the different salmon species. Just need to catch a few more for comparison.
  9. Nice job on the fish Larry!
  10. Good Job Mike! South Haven was nice yesterday!
  11. Finally made it out to SH Saturday evening. We started setting lines around 7:30pm in 80 FOW. Set a J-Plug down at 65' on the downrigger. As I was setting a dodger and fly on the other rigger, J-plug fired. Landed the first king. The next fish came about 20 minutes later on a Siggs Riggs Mirage Crumble fly and dodger. My wife took this one in 90 FOW, 72' down. Our third fish came about 40 minutes after sunset. It took the same Siggs Riggs fly and dodger. This king came in 80 FOW only 30' down. And here is one happy couple back on solid ground. Just wanted to give hats off to everyone on this site. By obsessively checking the site and gaining tips from everyone, a great day on the lake was possible. This was the first time my wife and I ever boated more than one fish on a single trip. We were extatic! Thanks to all!
  12. Nice lookin' engine! If you love it now, you are still going to love it years from now! And you sure can't beat that fuel economy.
  13. Congratulations! She's a cutie.
  14. That's awesome. I love to see the look on kid's faces when they are holding a fish they caught.
  15. Good job. Those are some really nice fish!
  16. I'm curious, is this the hook that is attached to the chain part of the harness? If this is the case, doesn't the plug slide back onto the rear hook? Do you have a picture, I guess I can't visualize it. Thanks.
  17. I've used that "Oxi-Clean" stuff before on my rubber floor mats to get fish stank out. I use about a three parts water to one part Oxi-Clean powder. I let it soak for a few minutes before scrubbing. The rest was wiped up with a towel and then I used a wet vac to finish it off. Hope it works for you, I know that smell all too well.
  18. Just don't let them know there are fishing video games, and maybe they'll like to go out again:grin: Glad they and you had a good time!
  19. Those are some dandy fish! Thanks for the report.
  20. Looks like Hunter will have many more big fish in the future. Good Job guys. Those are some nice fish!
  21. Nice Fish. You don't always need a big boat to catch them big fish!
