you can charter the boat owned by Brian Urlacher, the Linebreaker. http://www.floridagofishing.com/resources-charter-boats.html my dad lives in Marco Island and one of his favorite places to eat is the Pelican Bend where the boat is kept. Its right outside of Marco before you hit the main land. Pretty incredible machine. Apparently Brian fished down there and enjoyed it so much he bought his own boat.

Lots of different patterns work. If you are just starting out cant go wrong with basics such as white, green chartreuse attractors with aqua, whites, green crinkle, little boy blue flies. Those are probably the "base" colors and you can expand off of that.

http://www.woods-n-waternews.com/Articles-i-2010-09-01-205787.112113_Whopper_Stopper_Copper.html its a couple years old but a good read on copper. fishing nearly all copper last year, 32lb in place of leadcore and 45lb in 300-450 segments, I can not remember a single instance where my setups were out fished by someone else purely because I did not have leadcore out. I am more convinced that 32lb copper will be closer in the water column to 45lb copper than to leadcore. When others full cores were firing, my 200 and 250 were firing. in my experimenting, i also ran a while last season with a 250 32lb running inside, same side as a 10 color with no issues. That right there makes me certain the 32lb does actually run deeper than leadcore.

I am on my phone but when I get a chance I can answer with mores detail. Jim, I do not think you will be disappointed with the 32lb. 300 of 32lb will still achieve a greater depth than a 10 color. I fish both 32 and 45 and very little leadcore. As far as people saying you made the wrong choice, you have to take into consideration that I may be the only "west sided" using 32lb. There are a lot of very very good fisherman in our area that would say not to bother with 32lb copper. It's a different technique that is not well received in Wisconsin. I keep hearing rumors that the USCG is going to remove the TWIC requirement if you are running charters in a non secure port. I just sent in my renewal packet and it still required a TWIC. Hopefully in the next year they will have an absolute answer.

i think any quality DigitalSLR would be sufficient for what you are looking for. They are definitely much more affordable then a couple years ago. I really love my Canon Digital Rebel. I am not a seasoned photographer by any means and I still manage to take some awesome shots once in a while

Dreamweaver has red hooks on their UV spoons other wise black sharpie. Just a note on the UV flash light, I'm a little Leary of using that to judge. My yellow electrical connectors shine just as bright as my UV spoons with the light. I doubt west marine has UV coated electrical connectors, but I could be wrong

Ten colors or less would be just fine outside of the 300 copper

i am not familiar with Shimano rods but my guess would be the leadcore rod my me heavier and the planner board rod my be designed more for flat line planner boards.

100% fluorocarbon for me, 30lb for main line leaders and 40 or 50 for fly leaders. In my opinion either use the real thing or not at all. Real fluorocarbon has different physical properties than mono or fluoro coated mono.

Racine - played with it in the past but as of recently decided it was not worth the mess... along with other reasons.

Fishing close by, Racine, I have a few Spin Doctors that rocked last season and may catch your fish too . A couple off the top of my head are: White with blue bubble tape (think u mentioned that one) "wrapped" laser light saver White with UV Green rattlesnake White with glo slick Blood Run's UV

most any part of a boats fiberglass is actually a sandwich with some type of wood in the middle. If you do not seal any screws, nuts, bolts, holes, etc going through there, eventually over time water will get into the wood and rot it out. I have always just sealed the screws/holes to keep water out, not as an adhesive for what I am mounting. Your hardware should be more than adequate in holding your tracks down if done properly.

Not necessarily always a certain temp, sometime just finding a significant break is important. Sometimes they will hold on one side of the break if it is a dramatic change in a couple feet

I tend to fish a little more than just a weekend warrior and do not find the coated cable to be a significant issue at all. Blow back is not a problem i have encountered and yes could be combated with a heavier weight. The smaller probes such as the Depth Raider and X4 also help with blow back. I do have to cut back the coated cable at the probe a few times a season, usually due to factors caused by me or just extensive use. I changed the cable last season just because. Prior to that the original cable lasted over three years including swapping from one down rigger to another.

If you are leaning towards the Sub Troll, I think the Depth Raider is definitely something to consider.

I have run boats both ways. I currently run my boards of of my radar arch similar to a tree set up. I prefer this set up, seems to spread things out better. One down side is I can not always see all my rods when i'm at the helm. either way works fine, just personal preference really.

i typically run my middle rigger the deepest but what ever works and doesn't tangle everything up
