Is there enough room for all the rods with all 45s?

Well i came down to it and wanted to get some bird trees to run some extra rods. I didnt want to go out and buy it and spend 300+ on them so i was talking to my dads buddy who happens to have a welding co that will do it for cost. around 60 bucks he said. I can deicied to go with a 40, 45, 50 degree angles or 45,50,55. What do u guys think

30ft from the boat is way to short. The shortest i do is about 120ft. Thats about 12 passes. if im by my self and no ones around i will put as much room as possible up to 180ft for my inside board. The way i look at it is there made to get it away from the boat so that what i do.

MY big spread will look like 4 leads 2 divers and 3 riggers. Thats when i have 3 people or over. I dont like really big spread then that equals big tangles. When you have a big king that wants to go crazy then he will take out everthing in his path. Im a big fan of the KISS method. But if the bite is good i will run 6 Only JMO. Somtimes less is more.

The bob-along is a little late for ludington this year but it made it. We got up friday morning and left dock at 5 we plannned on going south out to the 32s but we were marking fish in 60 fow so we set down srait out and set out out spread. First rod in the water was a 2 color and as we were putting the board on the fish comes and smacks it. It was a nice 8 pound king.......but we left the nett back home( not my fault) so we were down to bare hands. It came up to the side a little green and hot my hands on the spoons and going for the tail the hook came off and the fish got free. Talk about a shake down trip. So we kept in the same water and pick one up about every 30 min on 3 colors,5 colors 6colors and riggers down 30. We had 5 in the box by 8am. With no nett i thought it was pretty good. Got a call from my mom saying that there was a storm comming so we called it and went in. 5 for 6 in 2 hours not to bad i would say. 5 color-MS sarge 6color-MS mag beef 3color-MS happee meal 2color-MS bad toad rigger down 30-MS carbon 14 Saturday morning got up to got and high winds and FOG. Went to the same water and nothing so we put it on a west and went for colder water. Got to 75 foot and a small king on 2 color. kept on a west untill 105 fow in the 55s and sreamer on full core.( we did have a net this time) got it up to the boat and going to take the hook out and the fish made a hole in the net and got out about a 12 pound. Talk about bad luck with netts. So we went for a SW troll and pick 5 fish fish up between the 55s amd 52s in 100fow to 60fow. 2color-happee meal 10 color- MS sarge riggers- Carbon 14 and sarge. With yet another net we got up at 4 and launched at 4:30. Grandpa was doing somthing in the back of the boat so i was on run out duty so i was marking alot in 55fow strait out so i set em down and started fish. First fish on 3 color. went back around to where we hit it and Bam fish on and it was a screammer took out 10 color and 5 color. I was about to net it and i see a 6 color pulling back. Got the big fish in the boat and went a little over 17lbs. That was a the trend setter for the day. then got the other fish in. Talk about a hetic double. Played around that water for a while and went to out numbers in the 52s and 31s. Just got there and took one on 5 color nice steelhead. Got that reset and 6 color was going. 6 pound BROWN?? got that in the box and full core went. Stayed the area and pick 2 more fish up.Ended with 9 Fish all above 6 pounds Great time in ludington it was good to be back and we even got some fish. Same baits as befor.

Its June the thermal hasent set up yet and the water is all mixed up and the most of the bait fish are still in the rivers spawing them three things lead to bad fishing all around. The one thing that im gonna do this weekend is go deep troll fast 2.9-3.6 mph and put a big spread in the water so i can cover alot of the water up and down.

I fished with anthonyyost and his dad and headed out to 100fow in the 57s then took a SW troll out. Did do anything untill we hit the 51s 36s. First fish was in 170 fow on a 300 copper. My first king of the year about 12 lbs. As we were getting that fish in the box the full core goes about a 7 pound steelhead. We took two more passes at the same wavepoint and took two more fish. One on 300 copper and another on 5 color. After going threw the wavepoiint and not hitting a fish we made a north troll with the waves and trolled for along time with out a bit. We didnt hit a fish untill we were pullin lines in the 58s and see we have on king about 8inches on a 10color and another on a 5 color pulled lines about 2:30. 10 color moonshine sarge( was donated back to the lake due to a board diving in to a wire diver) 10 color moonshine orange flounder. 5 color craigs xmas 300 copper northen king clown.

Thats not what i wanted to here Robert, I heard a ok report that hey fished in the 4000 line on out. If i fish this weekend then i think im gonna try and set them in the 38s 55s and work west from there.

There is a really good pinic area just south of the launch a few hundred feet with 8 tables. Im hoping to be there but if we win tuesday then i will not make it to the saturday one. Is everyone going on 72??? or a diff channel. 72 is usally pretty busy but if i fish then i will be the first one to the lauch and will be leaving doc by 5.

i think so on them blue bird days and you looking for a bit it usually comes in on the full core. The bouncy action and the lenth of it out there dosent spook the fish, Also i have fished full cores on riggers to so i think that there a great option

50 maybe pushing it. If you fishing under 2.5 then it could get it down that far but when you go from 2.6-3.5 you get any wheres from 30-45. I was fishing full cores in 45 fow and not hitting bottom and going 3.0 mph.
