Ludington numbers havent been the best for the last 5-7 years, a good day is 5 fish. Average is 1-3 fish. The numbers arent there anymore. I know it seems like manistee-frankfort always dose better for numbers and size.

I never quit learning and for my age i do know how to run the back deck

Thats what we have found works best for us we have tryed spoons down deep and found that that flashers/plugs work the best . The leaders on the 11 inchers are usually 48-55 for flys.

We fish deep alot in ludington/manistee area its no un common to fish 140-200+ down. I dont like to fish a ton of rods when fishing this deep. Its usually a 6 rod program. Two riggers with 11 inches paddles 40-60 feet back. The balls have to be 15 feet a part of you they will get tangled. Two wire divers with 11 inch paddles one with a meat rig on and the other a fly with back 250-350 on 1.5. The last two rods are 450 CU with #5 all glow silver hoard plugs with a dive bomb depending on where you want it in. I like the 6 rod method it catches fish. No many tangles. Also i like to run the probe at 1.8.

I love my squids. My two favorite set ups are a 8 inch blue bubble spin dock with blue frog squid Android white crush spin dock with green glow squid. Both with 18 inch leaders

My buddie has them on his 18fter.......they very simple, also work and hold great...if i didnt have a buddie building them for 1/4 the cost.

i am getting the 3 rodholders trees on the boat right now.

For my core and copper its Tangerine,Kandy Apple,Agent Orange,Steelie Stomper and yellow killer to name the top 5. For divers i like the orange slide diver with a 25 ft lead. Riggers pink panties were really good on free sliders and main line.( there all stinger spoons)

it changes all the time from fishing browns in 5 fow with rapalas to fishing kings 150+ down with 11 inch flashers. I mean the spread changes on the hour. there are some spoons that work season after season like Green dolphin. Great spoon for 1-3 fish

other than you have one of the best wifes in the world.......ill charter your 32 ray for ya lol. Go for it if you can do it why not. Live life LARGE baby
