Run slide divers and you will change your spoon high diver fishing forever. I have mono and braided slide divers rods for spoons. I really like them cuz i can put any leader out there. For flashers i like 8ft it seems to work, works for us on the boat, if i were you i would really think about some slide divers for spoons. 30-70ft was good leads this weekend on spoons.

Ohh i know it, i have never fished with much ever i think i am around 25-30 trips this year already.

The fishing actions has been steady for the last few days, marking lots of fish and lots of bait which is a good thing, but not that many are taking hold. We have been fishing straight out in 80-120ft, the fishing are coming on stinger caramel dolphin on a 300cu has been going very well, riggers with stingray blue dolphin on riggers and white fish scale hot chip flashers with hypnotist rapture flies. The offshore bite was ok to, everything top 25, 2,3,5 color core, free sliders on riggers parked 35 high slides out 35 with 100ft leads. The weekend held up well for us, the saturday morning trip we took 6 kings on the bank and lake trout including a 22.4 pound king, then headed west for some trout and picked up 6 steelhead,2 lake trout and one king ending with 16 fish, the Pm trip we picked 6 off the bank. Sunday we had 3 on the bank and 4 offshore. We played around on the bank for 45 min today and could maintain dept, fishing was not that good at all so we made to call to go latter in the week when the fishing is better and hopefully the weather will be two.

yes Ed would be the owner of the marina, im in for both ports, i am usually chartering in manistee but im sure justin and i can run down for this.

Iv had it where there is to much glow, moonshines make a really really great and bright spoon, some days the really brightness can turn them off, so i mixed stinger some streaks some moonshines in a spread. I usually have one bright spoon and most that are dimmer.

I run them on mag low wires, I dont run them on high,low slides, high divers or high wires. Even when i have sunbbers on i still have the drag as loose as i can stand without creeping out.

Fished friday night to get a game plan for the next mornings trip, started in the harbor and fished there for a hr with out getting a hit. Called it a night and got ready for the mornings trip. We had the game plan to head south to big pt along with the rest of the fleet. Started of with a nice bang, rigger down 60 with black paddle with oceana fly went twice, high slide with stinger extended glow wonderbread went and the full core with stinger caramel dolphin. Then we got a few more bits on core and copper. Then it went dead, ended the day going 8for8. Fished sunday with capt tom of sue lee, set up 13s started of nicely with 5 color yellow killer going, then 150 copper with bloody nose went 2 times, 80 down on a rigger with black paddle went once and then high diver with chilly willy went back 130. Ended the day 3for5. Didnt have a bite after 7:36. Ran up north monday set up 24s hit a trout on high diver back 140 with wonderbread took a trout. That was hit, it was hard to get a bit, when Us, fire plug and riverside come in with 4 fish between 3 boats you know its slow. Sorry for the late report really busy with trips about everyday.

Yes i have used them, there drags are very touchy, iv used all the way to 5 colors and riggers

Lots of guys i know have kickers, 9.9s with 4 blades work well.

Headed out 5 am to fish the harbor, the harbor has been loaded with bait and some big kings. We played in that water for a hour without hitting anything..so we pulled and ran out deep to find the temp break. It was a little farther than we thought, we thought it was going to be in the 34-35 line instead of the 37 line. Anyways the temp break went from 55.4-44.4 in less than 80ft.....the fish were comming on east troll only to. We had everything out big trout up to 12 pounds, nice steelhead one going 10.1 and a few nice kings. Everthing was going to lots of 2,3,5 leads some high divers and not to many on the riggers. Fish were coming on gold back double orange crush, craigs X-mas, monkey shine, steelie stomper. The best bait by far was double orange crush with copper back. All the spoons were stinger size. We ended the day going 15-20ish. Not to bad for the 2.5hrs we were out there.

Started in at 70 fow right out front went to set the 3rd rigger and the 1st rigger down 35 was going with a NBK. Got that fish to the boat set it again...i didnt take 2 steps from that rod and it was going again got that one it the boat. Had 5 rods out and a high diver back 80 with a yellow killer went. Went back threw on that circle and hit a 16 pound king a high divers 30 minutes after....then it slowed for a half hour..with 3s and 4s constant comming over the bow it wasnt fun any more...it wasnt a charter, just fun fishing and it was no fun. Capt called it. As we we were pullin in rods we found 2 16-18inch kings on a 5 color with a miami dolphin and a full core with a caramel dolphin. With all but two divers in the water at 7:00am we seem a walleye board floating very close from us and craig wanted to go back and get it...all of a sudden we seen the high diver tick a little bit..lone behold we got a walleye board, 300ft of Cu, 5 pound king and a new glow spoons. Nice short trip other than the WIND!!
