  1. Sturgeon Bay here. I would like to hit a few more ports though, especially in the start of the year.
  2. Welcome Jake!
  3. Nice looking setup Dave, I like the trees.
  4. Nice work Jim, the glow program has been working for us all year to.
  5. Jim - Sorry, I thought I put that in there, I saw them at Dunhams. From what I can remember they looked different than that though, so they may have been something different.
  6. I seen them at in Sturgeon Bay as well, they were J plugs. Let us know what you think of them.
  7. Here are some sunrise and sunset pictures from our last trip to Sturgeon Bay.
  8. This is our biggest steelhead to date, caught last week. Weighed in at 11#
  9. No problem Dan I'm glad you enjoyed the reports. I ran some double crush glow SD's as well but I never got them to fire as well as the white crush glow coyote and protroll flashers. I probably have to do some more adjusting between the speed and leader length with the SD's. Good luck elk hunting!
  10. Nice work Jim, it is always fun when you meet the goals that you set for the year!
  11. No we have been fishing on the lake side. I have heard of some people catching a few on the bay side but I have not spent any time over there.
  12. Thanks Ken! I think it is just the picture, I don't remember them being odd sized.
  13. My dad and I headed out to the bank Sun. morning and fished from 5:00 to 8:30. We set up in 120 FOW on a North troll with a 6 rod spread but after a few good tangles due to the strong current I dropped down to two riggers and two dipsies. We also had to switch to trolling East and west to help deal with the surface conditions. We fished in 120 to 160 FOW early and from 200 to 250 after sun-up, and ended up going 8 for 9 with 7 kings and 1 stealhead. We never got into any big fish but good eaters for sure. Riggers and dipsies were both working for us with FF combos on dipsies, and spoons and FF combos on riggers. White flashers and green or blue glow flies, and a happee meal spoon were the best for us. By 8:30 we had had enough beating and headed in.
  14. We ran out to the bank for a morning trip and set lines at 4:45 and fished until 8:30 when the wind kicked up and it started getting a little lumpy. We never got into a really hot bite but fishing consistent. We ended up going 8 for 8 with primarily mature fish. Nothing real big, a pair of 15's were our biggest. We ran pretty much the same setup that we have been running all week with FF combos on dipsies back 240 to 260, and riggers with FF combos and spoons down 100 to 120. For colors: white flashers and glow flies, and moonshine spoons (flies worked the best for us). For depths, we caught fish from 110 to 130 FOW. It got a little rough but still a fun morning on the water.
  15. We keep our boat in Sturgeon Bay at the Yacht Harbor. We have been over here all week for vacation. It has been a fun week for sure.
  16. Wow, that's a nice pike! Good work!
  17. Ran out to the bank last night to catch the evening bite and got into some pretty good steady action. We trolled from 6:00 to 9:00 and ended up going 14 for 16. Before I could get my last rigger set the starboard dipsy goes off and we boat our first fish, a 14# king. From then on we never went more than 20 min with out a fish on. 120 to 140 FOW were all good depths for us last night. Riggers and dipsies were the best presentation for us with riggers down 100 to 110 and dipsies back 240 to 260. Flies and spoons both took there share of fish but the FF combos did the most damage. For flies they preferred a white crush glow blade and glow flies with blue glow beads. For spoons a happee meal spoon on a rigger was a stud. Most of the fish we took were on a North troll at 2.2 to 2.5 SOG. It was a great night to be on the water.
  18. We fished last night from 6:00 to 9:00 going 8 for 11 on the night. We trolled from 120 to 220 FOW, 160's were the best for us. From 6:30 to 8:30 we had consistent action but nothing real hot and heavy. Riggers were our best set down 90 to 170, 100 down with light line and a happee meal spoon was our best setup. We aslo took hits on FF combos with white crush glow blades and glow flies. That FF combo also took hits on dipsies and copper. It ended up being a really nice night on the water with calm conditions and a nice sunset. The only downfall was we hit some pretty thick fog on the way in that made our trip in last twice as long.
  19. Nice work Jim, that is a beautiful brown. One of these days I m going to have to get. Probe as well.
  20. We fished from 6:00 to 9:30 Sunday night with consistent action. We had one double but for the most part hits were 15 to 20 minutes apart, ending up going 9 for 9. We fished in the 120's to the 160's FOW, our best being in the 160's. Rigger down 100 to 140 and dipsies back 160 to 260 have still been working the best for us with a mix of flies and spoons. White flashers with aqua or glow flies and moonshine spoons were the best, (happee meal, flounder pounder, sarge). We also took one hit on a 200 copper with a 4 oz dive bomb, and a FF combo. We went out again Monday morning and fished from 4:45 to 9:30. We took our first rip at 5:10 on the 300 but by the time we got the rod out of the holder he was gone. Then at 5:20 we took a triple, followed by a double and boated all 5 fish. After that we took a one more fish with some misses and drive-bys added in. We ended the morning going 6 for 10. Riggers copper and dipsies all took hits but riggers were the best. Flies, plugs and spoons in glows all worked. We fished in 120 FOW early and then as the sun came up we found fish from 140 to 160 FOW. We had five kings and one steelhead, three of the kings were 14 to 15#. my phone doesn't take very good pics at night, sorry
  21. Fine work Capt. good luck next week in the tournament!
  22. Here is a picture from Sat. morning.
  23. Headed out to the bank and fished from 4:45 to 9:15. We set up on a North troll in 120 FOW and had action from the time we set lines until about 7:00. Riggers were the best for us today, but we did take a good flurry on the dipsies early. We caught fish everywhere from 70 to 150 down. FF combos were the best with white glow flashes and glow flies. We also took a couple fish on a happee meal spoon on a lite line rigger. We ended up 9 for 11 on the day with 7 kings (one throwback), one laker, and one nice 10# steelie. I should have pictures up tomorrow.
