  1. WOW, those were some lucky fishermen!
  2. Welcome to GLF Ron! Good luck with the new boat, let us know if you need anything.
  3. I am looking for a good way defog the windshield in our boat, does anyone have any suggestions. We tried one of those 12v heated fans and it was pretty much useless, just didn't move enough air. One idea I had was to use an inline blower, any thoughts?
  4. Nice Laker Mark!
  5. Phil, if you are looking to target the 40' to 60' water column I would stick with the regular divers over the mags. If you want to get a little more separation you could try adding the mag rings.
  6. My guess is your divers are getting tangled when you put them out. If you let your divers out to fast your high diver will drop down into your low diver When you let them out just drop the diver in the water and let the diver slowly pull itself out using the drag. After the diver reaches the depth your looking for tighten the drag to your liking. I also agree with Ken, I like running FF combos on my low divers, but if the spoons are working for you keep putting them down.
  7. John, how heavy of rigger weights are you using when you do this, and how much blowback do you get?
  8. Nice rundown Kevin, good job this year!
  9. Sounds about right Mark. I usually just hook the release a couple feet into the backing unless I really want the lure back off of my spread.
  10. Good luck with them, you will not be disappointed.
  11. Do they have counters on them?
  12. No, the short cores for a SWR really don't have that much drag.
  13. very nice Josh! I'm sure your happy to have that step done!
  14. Great pictures Gord!
  15. Nice eye Gordy!
  16. I don't like long rods for boards because it make taking off the boards more difficult. I would prefer to use 7' rods for the boards. For the short cores a medium action rod should work.
  17. I have heard that they were working on changing the 19 strand to make it more resistant to fraying. Does anyone know anything about this?
  18. Nice work on the mixed bag!
  19. Ben, if it was my decision I would add two copper setups and a two color that could double for a SWR. This is because I generally do better with the deeper running copper and core setups, but you need to find out what works best for you. If you wanted to go strictly with core I would take the second full core and split it into an 8 and 2 color and then add a 5 color. Like Frank said you can always add weight to you cores to get them down deeper. For leaders I have been running 17# fluorocarbon with good success.
  20. Here is a link to where you can get decals.
  21. An SWR is just a short segment of leadcore run off a downrigger. Just let out the leadcore segment and then attach it to your downrigger release at the backing and send it down.
  22. I like using SWR's after the sun comes up and the fish become less aggressive. I have used 1 to 3 colors with good success on each. It really adds an element of stealth to your spread.
  23. Glad to have you Ali, let us know if you need anything!
  24. Very nice Jason, that's a good way to end the season!
  25. Great job Mark, looks like a good weekend to me!
