  1. I just tried it and did not have a problem. Do you have it saved to your computer? If you don't give that a try.
  2. Nice work on the coho Ryan! Glad to hear your feeling better, the agony continues for me!
  3. We mainly just fish the lake for salmon, but we also do some fishing in Green Bay for walleye. We have on occasion targeted salmon in Green Bay when it was to rough on the lake side but it is much less productive for us. We used to also spend quite a bit of time fishing for bass in both Sturgeon and Green Bay, but now I have a hard time getting my mind off of salmon fishing.
  4. We decided to take a trip out to sturgeon bay over the weekend to help break up the winter. It was a bit snowy and windy but we had a good time. I think my wife could have spent days taking pictures as we walked around. Here are a few that I liked.
  5. Its best to not keep track of how much we spend!
  6. My main flasher color is white and I almost always have a few white crush glow in the water. After the sun comes up I will add some chrome into the mix and start experimenting with some different color tapes. For flies I like a lot of glow in the morning and then transition into other colors as the sun comes up. My best go-to combos are a white crush glow blade and a green glow fly in the low light times, and a aqua fly with a white or chrome blade during the day. I think speed is your most important factor for getting your FF combos to produce, so I will experiment with speed before I start changing out my flies.
  7. This is how I would do it as well. I have done the tape trick in the past and it worked fine but I would rather have a short segment of mono.
  8. Welcome to the site Louie!
  9. Lol, nothing like sticking a hook in your finger for a little more excitement!
  10. I don't run the SD's much but for my other 8" flashers I like to run right around 23". For the 11" paddles I run 33 to 36". I will probably try some much longer leads on the big paddles this year though, like out to 50".
  11. We added a new humminbird combo unit, cannon intelli troll, extra braid diver, and some tackle so far. If I have some extra cash laying around I plan on adding some more diver holders.
  12. Congrats on the new boat Dale! Personally I like having four riggers on the boat but I think two would be a good place for you to start. Use the money you saved from the riggers and pick up some diver and copper or lead core setups. If you have any pictures of the new ride we would love to see them!
  13. Welcome to GLF Lee! Let us know if yo need anything.
  14. Flashers are the only thing have used with the e chip and as far as they go, I think the brand and action of the flasher makes a bigger difference.
  15. I have a Humminbird unit as well and I went with the Lakemaster chip after I heard that lakemaster has more detail for for the great lakes. In the area I normally fish it has 3' contours and I was very happy with the detail. Garmin has lakemaster charts on there website that you can view.
  16. I always use a diamond rod to keep my knives sharp. If I have a lot of fish to do I will give it a few swipes part way through, and then again after I am done. I also hone with a leather strap at the end.
