  1. I hear ya, we haven't seen the ground by my place yet!
  2. Now that's using your head Roger, nice work!
  3. Welcome to GLF Sherman! Richard, you don't need much to get the mono to bite and stop the braid from slipping. i have never measured how much I put on but it is enough to cover the bottom of the spool a couple times. If I had to guess I would say 25 to 50'.
  4. Ryan, I fixed your picture for you. You can do like Frank said and load a image into the gallery on the site, for info on how to do this go here. You can also upload pictured into photobucket and then copy and paste the image code.
  5. Ours is a 1980 Century 7000 with a custom hardtop. Looks like you took pretty good care of her!
  6. Good to hear they are getting things going over again. Are you thinking about moving your boat over there this summer?
  7. Looks great Josh, that's a lot nicer than the roller job we did on ours.
  8. Nice looking boats Mike, what kind of boat is this?
  9. I agree, don't be sorry you brought it up, I enjoyed reading all the different views people had on the subject. It definitely made me think about my spread and what might be happening underneath my boat.
  10. Nice job on the hard water Robert, I never knew you had that much brook trout action up there.
  11. As long as you pay attention when setting lines and don't take to tight of turns you should be alright. You could also throw a dive bomb on those inside boards to give them a bit more separation if your worried about it.
  12. My main focus for this rig is going to be for fishing below 100' and from the charts I have looked at the 1lb ball will do a much better job at getting down there. Much easier on the wallet too.
  13. I picked up one of the TX-44s to handle the heavier applications, I am pretty excited to see what it can do.
  14. One of the things I wanted to try this year is running a 1lb ball off an inline board to help with my deep spread. One of my concerns is how to get past the divers without making a mess since the thumper rig has a steeper dive curve than my divers. I am assuming I will just have to let it slide further behind the boat before I engage the board, but if anyone has any tips or tricks that they would like to share I would appreciate it.
  15. Nice Josh! How much of a pain is it to move all the jack stands and blocks to get those spots? Did you move them one by one as you went?
