  1. Welcome to GLF James! A 27" eye sounds good to me!
  2. Nice job Ed, great looking fish!
  3. Now that's keeping us updated! Nice job on the steel so far, good luck at the next spot.
  4. Time to get her rigged up, have fun with the new boat Robert!
  5. Those are some nice looking kings guys, nice work!
  6. For tying swivels on I always use a palomar knot, I have use the trilene knot in the past but I like the palomar better. For the leadcore go with the willis knot, its easy to tie and will not fail. Yes, you can tie your braid directly to the dipsy or use a swivel, assuming you are talking about your main line. Anything behind the dipsy should be leader material. It seems odd that you are breaking off that often, make sure your line is in good condition and always try to lubricate your knots before puling them tight. What # test and brand of line have you been using?
  7. I could see where that might be fun! Jim have you ever tried it with really light line, like 4 or 6 lb?
  8. Nice looking boat Steve, good luck with the sale.
  9. The soot covering left from the fire will be acidic so the sooner you can get it off the better. If it sits to long the metal will start pitting. The spoons with tape may not clean up very well since the tape will hold onto the smoke smell. After you clean them put them in a zip lock bag for a while. After you have been out of the house and cleansed your sense of smell open the bag and smell to see if if they have any smoke smell left on them. For the reels I would tear them down as far as you could and wipe everything down using a multipurpose cleaner.
  10. Nice looking boat Brent, now it's time to get her full of scales!
  11. I noticed you have your intelli troll readout on your bird, do you have to use the cannon link system for that? Good luck at the tourney Captain!
