  1. Before you send it out put the dodger and fly in the water and take a look at the action you get on the rod tip, then speed up untill the dodger rolls over and you will see the difference in rod action. When the dodger rolls it will be a slower harder bump. Good luck I hope it works out for ya.
  2. I have my pump handles set up the same way. Make sure when your setting them that you let them out slowly and stop occasionally. If you let them out to fast they will drop into your rigger lines. After you have it all the way out you can move it all around the boat to make room for netting fish.
  3. Welcome Chad!
  4. Welcome to GLF Aaron, let us know if you need anything.
  5. Nice intro Thomas, if you ever make your way up to Sturgeon Bay let me know.
  6. That's a brute Tim, thanks for sharing, and making all us Lake Michigan guys jealous.
  7. Stinger blue dolphin or NBK for me. I guess they both have some glow in them but I would consider them a mid-day spoon.
  8. Nice looking kings Adam.
  9. Nice kings Jeff, thanks for the vid.
  10. I bet that wide beam on the Killin Time makes running that copper in the chute a bit easier too lol. During the morning bite in Sturgeon Bay I will run copper down the chute because running more than one board per side is just asking for trouble.
  11. Way to hammer em Thomas! Nice job.
  12. Yep, that's how all mine are setup.
  13. Nice setup Brian. Personally I would take the lead off and add some more mono backing. It never hurts to have more backing and I like to have mono to attach the board to. Also, the fuller the spool is the faster that 7 color is going to come in. Good luck with the new rig!
  14. Yea that doesn't sound right, a 300 of 45# with a spoon should get 70 to 80 down.
  15. Good to hear Shannon that's what GLF is all about.
  16. August and September usually have a fair amount of warm water so you may want to look at some longer coppers to get you down deeper, like a 300. Unfortunately the longer coppers require a more money to set up, probably a 55 series Okuma.
  17. I have done it and it will work, but its not my preferred setup. Just make sure you pull that chute core if you take a hit on another rod.
  18. The one with yellow is called the yellow killer, I usually do better with the NBK though.
  19. Here it is Jeff. It worked for us in both the stinger and stingray size on riggers and longlines last week.
  20. Welcome to GLF Dan, good luck with the Optimax.
