Good Job boys. We went 6-7 in the same water between PS and Holland. 6 kings landed and 1 ho knocked off with the net trying to get fancy netting a double:rolleyes: Pretty cool listening to 3 different boats answering your call for help. When we set down in the arms we heard your call and tried to answer seemed like you werern't receiving on the radio. Shortly after heard buster found you so he must have been real close:thumb:

Good job! Put us to shame. We went 2 for 3 in the PM. Started in 150 at 6pm. Took 3 hits in 155 in the first hour. Went dry for an hour. Headed out to 170 turned around and headed East all the way to 85 without getting bit. Pulled lines in the dark at 9:30. 1 hit on green 8 inch spinnie meat 6lb laker and 8lb king on 11 inch white paddle hypnotist fly 120 down Which way did you get hit? Had a strong current from the Southwest so we had to do 2.1 to stay below 2.7 down speed headed that way. If you were doing 2.1 SOG in any sort of North heading your lures must have been barely moving. Maybe that was the key -
Started in 80fow just south of Duck Lake around 6am. Never got bit til 8:30. 3 for 3 6 and 10 lb lakers 15 lb Steel 2 bites on 300 copper standard spoons. 1 bite on 10 inch UV SD with BW Mango fly 150 down on rigger. Surface was 68 inside of 220 and 63 outside. Went all the way to 330. 2 bites at 10:30 in 310. Pulled lines at 11:30. Water conditions were perfect. Down temps, currents, location all match productive days. Just don't know where the fish are:confused:

What, where and how were your biggest fish caught?
tgafish replied to Fowlpursuit's topic in General Discussion
26 lb Grand Haven July 2003 Downrigger copper monkey puke spoon It was dead calm in the middle of the day. I had just started fishing in 2001. actually stopped the boat and pulled lines(only 3 at the time) so my brother could land the fish. Remember seeing it 30 feet straight down in the water doing circles like wicked Tuna LOL. Tickled 26 a couple times since then but never beat it. I usually don't fish the pierheads or river fish so I don't target the bigger fish in the fall -
Wat is your belief in copper depth 30# vs. 45#

Pretty much the same as Ryan. I have not seen any other data but I have zero reason to believe Bloodruns data to be anything other than 100% accurate -
Awesome job guys. I had 2 Nam vets on board. One a Navy weapons radar controller and one an Army artillery man. This was the navy man's first veterans event of any kind. He was one of those guys that felt like hiding I was the best action. Those stories you hear about how those guys were treated coming back were true. he shared how they were coming back to San Diego harbor and people were dumping trash on them from a bridge and had baby killer banners flying. Yesterday he was welcomed back with hundreds of flags and arms waving at him, music playing, and his family along the shore cheering him on. To see him choked up trying to hold back the tears was a sense of pride I will carry with me for some time to come. He came to me before he left and said "I am so glad I did this. I really can't tell you how much this has meant to me" Where did you guys find your fish? We worked the sailboat bouy area starting off with hardware and changing over to meat. We were marking fish but could not get them to go consistently. After a 30 minute dry spell we finally picked up and took our beating out the the plug and took 4 keepers and 5 or 6 shorts and lost a few in a little under an hour. Ended the day with 4 in the 18-20 range and 3 16's. Wish we could have gotten out there earlier but I didn't want to bang the crap out of my guys off the get go

Thanks for having us and it was nice to see the new faces and structure of the league. We laid down in the same 53-54 temps that worked for us last weekend. Watched the temp drop from 58 down to 53 from 185 to 210 and set down in 210. Worked the teens for a while with nothing and turned East when we should have turned West. At that point it was 9 am and we were committed to that water. Had 8 bites and landed 5 of them mostly in the 190's. All in the top 30. 42 degrees was from 35 to 20 feet down depending on the fow. Had a 6lb king do a damn good impression of a steelie clearing the water 3 times. No troll worked better for us. There was no current in the top 50. Speeds were around 2.5 when we got bit. All spoons and one spinnie bite. Started pulling lines at 11:20 instead of noon thinking we had to be at weigh-in at 1pm. Learned the noon was important not the 1PM. Rookie mistake:D -
Can't wait for the story Don. Victory well deserved. You've put a lot into the fraternity of addicted salmon chasers. Good to see it rewarded

Good job on the fish! What undersize fish are you seeing? I'm guessing they had to be lakers? Can't imagine guys catching many salmon under 10 inches -

Sounds like a great morning to me. 18lb is about as big of a fish as I've heard of so far out of that area -

Nicely done Don. I think I'll make sure to put one out this weekend to honor a pretty nice guy. -
Thanks Ryan. Not like anyone needs anymore spoons but the spoon with the tape on it has been my top producer this spring. Only one other color has gone and only once. But the taped one has gone multiple times on all 3 trips and on 3 different presentations.
