  1. Fortunatly for her she ONLY looks like her mother....its hard to believe she has any of my blood in her when you look at her....definitely looks like a little Eskimo baby:grin:
  2. Guys My new fishing partner and assistant BOSS has arrived! This may explain to some as to why i have not been around much lately. Kinley Jane was welcomed into our world on sept 10th @ 4:03pm weighing a whopping 8.3 oz and 21" long and with more hair than most of us have. We had a small fire in our house the day we got home form the hospital, so needless to say things have been a little hectic and have hundreds of post to go through:confused: Fatherhood is one AMAZING experience as most of you know...this is my first and it blew my mind:grin:
  3. Richard I cant tell you how much i look forward to your reports and appreciate how much time it takes you to give us a little shot of your battles!! Keep up the good work and it's going to be a long winter without reports from the crazy yankee!!
  4. Nice job rich....do the fish ever stop biting there?
  5. Nice Fish Terry....that one held up to the right is looking a little crusty!!
  6. I have the simrad 14apr and is rated the best in its price range. This thing holds pretty tight in some rough seas with both motors turning. Being able to walk out of the captains chair when things get hectic with rough seas, wind and fighting fish is second to none. It really changes everything. Some of guys that run the raymarine smartpilot, not sure of model number, in a comparable price range are pretty envious of the simrad. From what i understand the smart pilot is a wheel mount and reacts completely different and doesn't hold a course near as well. I have never been on a boat with the smart pilot so i can not tell you from my own experience, only from what raymarine owners are saying. I assume someone here has experienced both and can fill you in a little more than i can.
  7. Nice work on the Hogs!! Sounds like an exciting trip!
  8. You dirty dog terry!! sure do know how to find them!! Nice work
  9. Nice pics! Ain't summer grand:mad:
  10. Yankee....I see you guys are human!! Better luck next time and thanks for the report.
  11. Tuna The boat situation really hurt this year as it took me the better part of 2 months to get everything situated with BRP but it was worth the wait now with that new power head behind me now. Only problem i have now is that the baby is due in the next 3 weeks and have to be on stand by or at least somewhere that there is cell phone coverage....which rules fairport out!! I was a little nervous being there last week even. A buddy, Daybreak on up angler, is headed down to manistique for a week in his new tiara so i should have some reports as he will run south close the fairport waters. Good luck and i will post up if i hear anything!!
  12. Big Tuna Fairport should heat up again if we get this sustained north blow for a few days like they are talking. We had to go 130' down with the probe in 150fow to get below 55 degrees:confused: This should mix it up a bit....best of luck if you make it down there and stop back in and give us a report wherever you decide to fish......and welcome to the site!! If you get a chance stop into the welcome center forum and introduce yourself. There is a great bunch of guys here that are willing to share a lot of info!!
  13. Boy....do i miss that place in its hay day!! Nice work out there
  14. Awesome Don!! Must feel great to have the whole bunch interested in fishing!!
  15. Josh Those are some nice healthy kings from the dead sea.....I may have to make a trip to the KB. You did better there than some did in fairport last weekend!! Keep up the good work and again thanks for the report:D
  16. Great to hear you guys are into them being new to the sport.....we have got another addict!!
  17. Looks like some healthy ones.....thanks for the report and the pics are great!!!
  18. Love those rips on the wire....even if they do get off. Nice work! All i can say is at least you had ear plugs. I was in the van camper with a buddy that has sleep apnea AND restless leg syndrome for the weekend and i am not sure it could have been worse:angry2: i ended up having to drink myself to sleep sat nite:grin:
  19. Are you running a kicker near the antenna?
