An off duty alger county officer and his wife had a cougar jump out in front of them less than 1/2 mile from the city limit while driving. The DNR just confirmed the tracks today 300 yds from my house:eek: A few people in our neighborhood claimed they had seen a large cat.... I guess i have to believe them now!

Joe It is a great place to be when mother nature is not kicking your A$$!! Arn I saw those pictures and report on upangler......how about a little of that on GLF??????

Finally had the chance to get out with VitalIdle in his smaller boat on sunday. We noticed a lot of bait fish surfacing and after watching saw some bigger fish launching out of the water near the bait fish we went in tossed an anchor and got the ultralight rods and started casting wobblers into them. It was pretty exciting for a little while as we lost quite a few, but ended up pulling 4 NICE superior Coho out of the deal. What a blast on light tackle and it sure was nice to get out on the water and actually catch salmon out of superior! Last minute preparations Large spring Coho(For superior anyway:grin:)

Now that is a busy day mike. That has got to feel good!!!! Great pics.

First of all, Brad welcome to GLF! It sure looks like that rig is going to work to me. It took me 3 boats and some improv to finally get my 24' striper, but some of my best memories came from the early boats and learning the love of fishing in your own boat. Secondly, Frank I thought this was great!!

They are hitting the coho early and then it is dead. Atlantics in the west channel though:thumb: My little native buddy set a small net right off shore and picked up 5 atlantics so i am going to go try to chase some down.
