  1. congrats on the new baby.... is there anything you need that might help from the fire??? I know how hard it is with a new baby and can't imagine having a fire...
  2. Thanks for the report and take it from me you will catch'em next time, but it takes awhile, these guys on this board are fantastic to talk with and get advice from, If it weren't for Mike I think someone would have found two new big jon riggers and 6 rods and reels somewhere in Elk rapids in about 60 feet of water, but he gave me great advice and I remained patient... and I caught some good Salmon...........it does get better
  3. Congrats Ken, Make sure Mike pays you for this new position..... he's really good about that kind of thing ya know.... ha ha
  4. good job in NY, way to catch'em
  5. Our Fish came in at 23.8 lbs King, in Ludington. Came in on the rigger 80 feet back and around 75 feet down off a Green spin Doctor with What I remember to be a Dr Hook... it's hard remembering the name, we'd just bought the spoon at Chucks and all thrre kings that morning hit it and came in on it with the last big One taking off the hook just as we netted it in to the boat...Pic is in my Avatar.
  6. Welcome Adam good luck with your new position...
  7. Congrats on a great season well Done
  8. Good Job Chris from Swartz Creek Michigan.... Nice fish Porn, PM me once in awhile let me know how your doing, didn't know anyone was so close to me.. on the board..
  9. Great Job Ken, I knew you'd out do everyone over there, and you had a great success this time out.... man that is som sexy fish porn dude.
  10. Well we did great, for being very new to this sport, and well spending thousands to go out with the right gear. We landed 2 lakers of of Elk Rapids, where we spent most of our summer trying to catch Kings that weren't there, moved the boat to Ludington and wrapped up with 6 kings one weighing in at 23 pounds, 2 pounds short of the winner at the Big Fish contest in Ludington that I did not enter.... all in all we tripled our catch from last year... Isn't that special? 6 Kings 2 lakers
  11. Got to get yourself one of those big ones, man they slide through the biggest fish with ease......Great job fish way to slam them.
  12. Great Job Ken, nice fish and yes it's a wierd weekend for fishing.... go figure.
  13. Man I'll say but you had to put some seriuos time on the water in just to get that done, you see etting up see I have a problem getting up so early, with the wife laying next to me in the boat, I can't seem to get my worthless A?? out of that warm bed for the hopes of catching a fish or two...I think... Hmm warm woman next to me or Cold fish hiopefully on the line.... Uhmm one in the bed is better then NONE on the Line.
  14. Jim How do you switch to steel Head....? Another Dumb Question from Your Boltman.. You make good sense about your figures, and with the Tribes NOT cutting back on Netting, it makes for a lot less fish for us. I'm looking to write a congressmen, or something on this matter, Maybe just Maybe OBAMA would like to know that His Salmon Dinners are Disappearing. Hmmm, might write OBAMA...
  15. Yes I heard that they might be up River already, but why are they marking them and not biting... doesn't make sense at all....Or does it... this weather has really done a number on the fish, so could the fish be DONE a month early???? Who know only the fish know what's really going on....We had one one Saturday Night, but like all the others it got off too....... Damn Fish Can't wait to get my new Fish Finder Installed this Fall...
  16. We were in Ludington the whole weekend from Thursday to Well Sunday night.. the fishing went Dead, went out every night.. nothing.... Got one Friday morning....small King about 22" and that was it.....Trolled from Pentwater to Ludington, just for fun, not even a bite, that was what we were hearing on the radio too, Charter captains were throwing fits, marking a ton of fish, but nothing biting. The radio was quite for most every day, hearing only a few guys putting fish in the boxes.... Alos heard tha the Indians were netting hundered of fish, so many that they were almost sinking their boats...This I'm sure has something to do with shutting down the fishing in Ludington... but I don't really know..All I want to know is... Who can we talk to to stop this netting issue before the indian tribes destroy the whole salmon fishing industry for the Charters and Private people Like Us....
  17. Great Job Mike, I hate that when you can't get the Big King... in the boat.... man was it is going to take to bring these monsters in...???
  18. We were in Ludingotn this week asking the same thing... Where are the salmon, hearing on the radio that this is the toughest the charters have seen in a long time, we were skunked 3 of the 4 days that we went out on the water..... I heard one captain say that he is docked near the Indian boats, and they they have gotten so many salmon... that they almost sunk their boats... with the mere weight of all their Kill............I'm thinking this has to stop it shut down the fishing in Ludington for sure.
  19. Mike Don't sweat the small stuff............ Advice to live by.... from your Boltman.
  20. I totally understand... the big ones are out there, but the little ones taste better, less toxins...yeah know. Joel many happy fishings for you in Ludington...this weekend.
  21. Its suppose to RAIN and BLOW all weekend... Sorry...........
  22. Oh Fish GOD, I bow to you..... what a great job.
  23. Good Job Matt, the weather was tough in Ludington, I was there and we never went out on the water... it was heart breaking.
  24. I am a small business owner, we distribut Fasteners and Automotive components to Tier 1 suppliers, business has been great since 2006 but right now we are scraping by on every order we get. It's not easy,Nobody wants you to succeed even the Government, they Tax the Crap out of you. SAles have fallen 50% or more, but they will recover, one thing you must practice as a small business owner....NEVER EVER STOP SWIMMING...which means if you make use of the word CAN'T, you wont make it, that word cannot exist and it doesn't for me...Nor my office manager ( my Wife). I am networking my customers everyday, getting new quotes everyday to work on and even though I only may get one of these quotes a month, it's new business...and ANY new business is a great thing right now..... I want you to remember this right now.....Bill Gates...started Microsoft in a recession worse then this one.. meaning you can do anything, just Keep Swimming, keep swimming keep swimming...... And no your not in the Movie Finding Nemo.....I feel a small business, is a constant battle for your sanity and your income.....I've strapped on my Boots and I'm ready for battle everyday, it's been 20 years....and I still fell like I'm going under.... tomorrow. I am not alone in this feeling, I talk to a lot of small business owners everyday, they are my customers as well............. Good Luck and well.... Keep swimming.
  25. I have the same rods and haven't had an issue there at all, are the rod holders facing the rear of the boat straight out or facing the front of the boat, or maybe you just had a bad batch of rods made .... that's weird....
