  1. Captain Dave, thank you so much for the information. Quite good of you to post. Great job out there.
  2. VERY nice work out there. That is a pretty heavy box for three fish. Don't spoil the rookies with big fish. They will get hooked for life. OK, maybe spoil the rookies with big fish.
  3. not sure what you have, but a good spread for 2 people is: 2 downriggers, 2 dipsey divers, and 2 planner boards either running full, half or 3 color lead core. More than 2 poeople you can add to your planner board spread. Blue's and greens have been pretty good this year but so has lemon ice and yellow machine. Start with reading the first three postings here for some good advice on setup: http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=48 You will also want to read "how fast are you going" on the same post, and "how colors are viewed underwater". Great knowledge on this site. Just have to know where to look, or poke around until you find it. Best of luck.
  4. Great work Rob. That is some great weight vs other reports recently.
  5. Nice job bringing up new talent. It has been beautiful on the lake lately (as far as weather goes).
  6. SWEEEEEET. Come up north fishes. I promise I won't hurt you, too much.
  7. At least you didn't get skunky. Nice work avoiding the nets.
  8. Nice work on the Skamania. Have not picked one up this year yet, but MAN is that fun.
  9. Look who's closer to 100 fishes Mike. I just cannot break that dang 3 digit mark.
  10. Sorry for the late report. Was no where near a computer this weekend. Friday morning we set out at 6ish and fished until 11 or so. Water was colder in close (100fow was 54 up 44 down 45). Water out in 150 was 60 up 48 down. Picked up 2 nice steelhead in 95-105fow at 7. Thought we were on to something. Nothing the rest of the trip. Went out with a friend on his boat Sunday morning. Water had warmed up, but man was it FLAT. We started in 80fow or so and worked out to 220 before we called it off. Picked up one laker which we released. On the way back in the steelhead were picking flies off the surface between 50-60fow. Oh well. It was beautiful day on the water. Suinny, flat and the flies were not too terrible.
  11. Those are some great looking fish Don. Way to go.
  12. NICE. Better than a good swift kick in the pants. 4 fish is a pretty good catch based on what I was hearing on the radio out of PS. Did seem like people were doing better south.
  13. Nice. At least we are no longer burning big gas to go deep.
  14. Nice work gentlemen. What a nice weekend to get out on the water.
  15. Sorry I started this huge discussion Nick. Honestly thought it might be easy, as a few boats were saying the same thing (9 rods would be nice). I thought if I was thinking it, others were too and maybe we could get more boats to join the competition. oh well. You know I am in. Hell, I dock in PS. I just have to figure out how to get up to Muskegon for the last two.
  16. SWEET ride. I notice that you have riggers mostly. Do you ever fish with planner boards or outriggers? Planner boarding got really popular on the great lakes over the last few years and I wonder if it would produce over there.
  17. Nice job. MAN that water looks good in that picture. What a nice day on the lake.
  18. Way to put the smack down on the steel. That had to be a great time.
  19. That is a long ride in. At least the trip paid off with some good fish. Great job.
  20. It was a great time fishing with you as always Mike. Just needed that one shaker to make it a 1st place. Mike is always modest, but we did have the most weight for the tourney, just missed it by one fish for points.
  21. That is the most impressive catch I have seen south of Ludington in weeks, maybe a month. Nice job Terry.
  22. Not to be a meanie, but if you honestly want to find kings right now follow Plumcrazy's reports. Go to ludington, or manistee. Coldwater is a long way from where the fish are hiding the past few weeks, which is why you don't see any good reports. You seriously want to catch fish, go north.
  23. WOWZA. That is sweeeeeeet. Nice rig and I'm sure it will set up nice with the riggers on it.
  24. If I knew I could do that, 17 miles is worth the drive. I probably trolled 17 miles in 145fow and only got 1 last time out. Thanks for the information. Great job slammin the fish.
  25. Thank you for the detailed report. Sure is nice to not go out deep, but man it is tough bumping the bottom for everything.
