  1. WTF. Jim was JUST on my boat. i would have at least brought some donuts or cupcakes or something. Happy birthday Jimmie.
  2. What I typically do is get the part number from Yacht Basin in Holland. Then I run the "cross reference" software at Parts Plus or Advanced Auto. Sometimes it works (like stators, wires, stuff like that) othertimes the parts are specific, like carbs alternators, etc.
  3. Well, the weather was amazing. FLAT FLAT FLAT. Man was it flat. Almost too flat for fishing, but it worked out eventually. Set sail with Jim (1Maniac) and a buddy of mine at about 6:30 from port sheldon. Went to 150 with some guy following us the hole way (I think they thought we knew what we were doing). I have to admit, the boat looks like we know what is up with all the rods on it. Anyway, we went out to about 150 and dropped lines. Went southest to 200 ft and back in ENE to 135 eventually. Not much happened until just after dark. We did pick a few up (small ones) but not much else. Missed one on the rigger that was pealing line and was shaking like crazy and then all of a sudden just came undone. . THEN the fun started just after dark. Full core went, Jim as battling a beast for 10 minutes with very little progress on the board. Then the copper went, and I grabbed it. Oh, did I mention Ryan was now the only member on the boat not fighting a fish. Opps the dipsey hammers. Three guys fighting fish on the back of a 8.5ft deck with no one driving. , We managed to get two fish in and they were pretty decent. The one of the dipsey jumped the net (full of lures as we could not clear fast enough). DARN IT. Almost boated the first triple of the season. Anyway it was AWESOME. And without a tangle. Thanks Jim and Ryan for joining on short notice. I had a blast. Lures were Moonshine Flounder Pounder, Moonshine white with 3 black dots, Blue with black dots nitro stingray, green nitro stingray, and I think blue veggie. Sorry, it was a late night.
  4. Very nicely done. Can your 3.5year old net fish?
  5. Nice work Kenny. That looks tasty.
  6. Pretty impressive weekend. Nice work.
  7. Very nice finish. Always nice to be within reach of the top. Makes you feel like you know what you are doing.
  8. Thanks guys, I just noticed that I am already fishing in the 2011 season. HA. I have no idea why I put that down for a date. too much sun maybe.
  9. Thank you for the continued good reports. Always helpful.
  10. First trip of the year out of port sheldon for the Just Hook'n crew. Was a great day on the water (flat). I was joined by my father (which is always awesome) and Scott (Rough Diamond) and his buddy Jake. We got a little bit of a late start as I did not realize when it got light yet. Was planning on leaving the dock at 5:45, ended up being about 6 and got lines set at about 6:30-6:45. I thought maybe we missed everything, but it ended up ok. First fish hit the rigger 70 down and was a nice 10-12lb king. I thought, HERE WE GO, but the rigger only landed another shaker all day. Other things that worked were full core, 5 color, dipsey on 1.5 out 175, 3 color. Copper was out all day and never went. I was surprised. Lures that worked were a combination of stingray and mag size stinger spoons. Lemon Ice GLF spoon Ludington Special 8" yellow echip with white/yellow fly (this was the dipsey) Green Puke Freakin' Veggies and maybe one or two others, but mostly greens/blues and a few yellows/oranges thrown in. All in all a Fun Day.

  16. Nice work guys. Wish I could join this year, but with the new child here I am on the sidelines for the better part of the season. I'll get out, but it will be limited for sure. Nice to see some familiar faces doing well.
