  1. HOLY CRAP. I put the boat away too soon.
  2. Nice work. A few is better than a skunky box this time of year.
  3. Great save Kevin. Still no skunks this year?
  4. Thanks for sharing Ken. Cool shots. I've not been up there in YEARS. Might have to take my son next year when he can appreciate it.
  5. Nice results Jimmy. It was a decent night on the lake. I was out with Jeff (Justrollin) in Muskegon, but we only managed one fish. We did the tangle thing all afternoon too. Weird currents.
  6. Joe, I was REALLY impressed with the gunwall/mounting area on this 161 smoker. They are bigger/flatter than on my 27' bayliner. VERY nice for running track. Hell, we could have run 5' of track down each side. For a small boat, it is pretty solid. 40hp merc with power trim. We were told that it has a 40 gallon gas tank, which keeps it in the water nicely. I honestly think it may only be 24 gallons, but still on a boat this size that will keep you going for a long time. it has two live wells, two tackle storage compartments, plenty of seating and a side imaging sonar unit on the electric (tied to graph).
  7. Maybe Hook'n Sr (since it is my dads). Thanks for the kind words guys and the name suggestions.
  8. NICE suggestion. It wasn't cheap though. DAMN that traxstech is expensive. My son is ready to use grandpas boat.
  9. OHHH, hadn't thought of that. Never named a small boat before. Maybe "little hooker", but I think that one is taken a couple times over.
  10. WOW, Nice work Kevin. 11 for 13. that has to be one of the best reports I've gotten since labor day.
  11. Well, dad finally got sick of fixing his Johnson outboard on the 1989 15' sea nyphm fisherman (for sale if anyone interested). Ended up being fixed by our mechanic and now works fine. ANYWAY, he went out and found a 1994 161 Pro Mag Smoker Craft. SOOOOO, we HAD to set it up for the Ludington spring and fall events. Here it is, before and after.
  12. Nice report. At least you are still out there catching some. Great work.
  13. Nice job Jeff. We've pulled for the season, but maybe I can sneak up there and do our trade a trip yet this fall.
  14. Very Nice work Kevin. A good fishn story is sometimes worth way more that the fish on the table/grill
  15. Nice work getting out even for a short ride.
  16. Great job. Sounds like east was the ticket.
  17. Way to go Terry. Still puttn the hurt on em I see. SWEEEEET Laker.
  18. it's the one that Ken has a picture of. I may be calling it the wrong thing, but I don't think so. there is a regular screwball, a black screwball and a super (or modified) screwball.
  19. thanks for bringing this back to the new posts area. Nice to see how it works once in a while. THAT IS AWESOME action on the divers. MAN I LOVE that when it works that way.
  20. SWEEEEEET on the 7 for 7. That is awesome this time of year. Especially in what I would call skinny water for this late in the season.
  21. Nice work boys. 300' back on the wire divers, WOW. That's a lot to reel in. What a work out.
  22. Welcome to the site. Steelhead are OUT DEEP right now, but you can certainly have a lot of fun catching some of those acrobatic devils.
  23. Jimmy, just give me a call. I LOVE to fish and I'd be very honored to be aboard the bobber.
  24. I think TGA has a black screwball in the picture, but that is the idea. The one we used was actually a silver spoon with the same tape and spots in the middle. It's a silver streak. One of very few on my boat, but I've been on other boats and this thing works. I actually have the black, the sivler and I think a modified. Size is comparable to a stingray or standard 4" spoon. The copper hit was also a stingray size spoon.
