  1. VERY NICE. Wow, that is great for a solo trip in not awesome conditions.
  2. Get the smoker ready. HMMMM, tasty. Nice work.
  3. THAT IS AWESOME. FREEZER full for the winter. Nice work.
  4. HOLY COW. that is awesome. Beautiful fish Jonas. Keep the pictures coming like that and soon you will have guys wanting to visit.
  5. I would copy Ken's setup in a heartbeat with a GREAT suggestion from Jay - traxstech or berts. This is not cheap, but in the long run you will be very very happy. If you have access to a machine shop, I would just buy the track and then manufacture the mounts for rod holders, down riggers and the like. Racheting holders for your dipseys and solid holders for your core lines work best. The TREE that ken has is the way to go. I actually run a big jon tripple, but a solid one is great. I love the guys that run the trees that swivel. This way you can keep your rods right in the trees and swivel them to the side (when fishing) or the front (when docking). Great way to go.
  6. NICE. I knew people were still fishing. What a nice couple of days (yesterday and today). Not many left.
  7. I use blacks and dubros (same thing). My dad just got a chamberlains and I think from what I have heard that is the way to go (if you can afford them). It would be nice on the blacks to be able to adjust the tension for up release and fish release separately, which is available on teh chamberlains. You can use rubber bands on the blacks for smaller fish, but as ken said, they make a mess. If you are starting from scratch, I'd say go chamberlains.
  8. Who's up for a road trip???? Great work Jonas. Hopefully some day we can have you over here and we can come over there.
  9. Thanks for sharing Jim. Always great to hear the back story.
  10. VERY NICE. I was actually contemplating taking my dad's boat out of Onekema this weekend, but we did not. Never been out there and really didn't know where the ramp was and such.
  11. Man, thats sounds like good tablr fare. Nice work.
  12. Nice work Scott. The gales can blow up quick this time of year.
  13. Nice work, but be careful in that boat. Lost way too many good people this year to bad water.
  14. I think I would pass out if I saw someone drilling a 4" hole in my boat. WOW. You must have brass (*&&(.
  15. I was in that area the day after and had not heard the story until we got back to the dock and someone explained why there were diver out in 100fow. Very erie and sad. I had no idea that he fished in the WMFL. Small world. Its' nice to hear they were able to discover the body and bring closure to the family. Thank you for sharing the story Ken.
  16. You bring up some interesting information Kevin. I wonder how we are doing on a longer cycle (say 5-10 years). I am not sure that a 2 year trend, especially with hot summers, is a trend or a fluke. I think we did see salmon run this year (based on the catches at the dams), but it was during a time when no one could get on the big water. I'd be curious to hear from the guys that fish the dams more often. Was this year a good year IN the river or by the dams compared to last year or maybe the last 5 years?
  17. Jay is right. Most trips this time of year run 8am (or 9) to just after noon.
  18. Great start to the season. NICE WORK.
  19. I agree with Jim, the theory of lead on one side vs copper on the other, or HOW to mix and match. Also, the warm water topic would be interesting seeing as though the lake never really flipped this past year. Another fun one might be lure size vs time of year. I know we talk about this a little online, but having a pro really go into detail would be great.
  20. Nice work Jarod. What Mike says is true. I had a nice 6 pt come in Friday night and my heart was racing. Only got 60 yards though and with a bow that is too risky.
  21. SWEEEEEEEEEET. Nice ride Mike.
  22. Thanks Jim for the great trip. Have been soo busy at work, have not had time to log on lately.
  23. Nice job Eric. Sounds like a nice trip. How are the waves out there lately?
  24. Nice job guys. Those are some pretty fishes.
