Kenny, can you please spell my boat name Just Hook'n. Thanks man. Not sure why I am joining these this year. I guess I just like giving Terry some gas money. But I love fishing will all you guys. Hopefully we can "fish" this time and not just get pulled around the lake by the tow boat.

I think your question is - when you switch do you switch everything. I guess it depends on the bite. They always say - figure out what they like and give thema ton of it. Personally, I typically run spoons, switch to mags, throw a few plugs in the mix in the fall. I have never run an all plug program. That's not to say it doesn't work. Might be interesting to try.

We had similar experience out of Holland Friday night. I didn't think anyone else was out there. Safe return was a win for us.

sorry to hear about that Russ. A REAL fisherman would never do anything like that. Bad Karma. You'd never catch a fish on stolen gear and your boat would likely sink. Here's hoping.

Well, I hate to admit it, but we boxed the first skunk in about 3 years Friday night. Should have considered it bad omen when I got a flat tire on the way to the boat. Well, I didn't read the signs and we went out anyway. I think we were the only boat on the water. Waves were vicious. 2-4 and coming from two directions all night. Fished from 6-9:30. Marked everything on the bottom from 45-110fow. Bait balls everywhere. Fish would come up and take a look and then go back down. Nothing working. Got a text with picture from my cousin Adam fishing off the wall in Holland. Limited out on Steelhead in 30 minutes (6-6:30). Figures. We burn gas and get out kidneys a work out - he catches fish. Oh well, had a good time with good friends. Went Friday because the predictions WERE that the rest of the weekend was going to be bumpy. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Welcome to the site. YES, please send pictures of the new boat. You will get LOTS of advice on how to rig it. I sometimes think that is the most fun part of getting a new boat - setting it up.

Ouch man. I think they can weld it (good aluminum welder). Might want to start looking for an outdrive. I'm doing the same. Actually looking (lately) at a cheap beat up boat for salvage with a good outdrive. So far not been too lucky though.

You've got "People Entertaining Themselves At all costs" suggesting that rather than dispose of geese in new york in a humain manner and feed the poor in order to prevent geese/airplain interaction that we feed the poor hummus. HOW does this prevent aircraft accidents. These people miss the point time and time again. And I am guessing they would also miss me.

if you hear people talk about going south to the "sliders" those are the big sand dunes you can see from the lake. They look like they are sliding into the water. That is about the only "spot" that people talk about in Holland. Depth depends very much on timing and temp. Wish I could be more helpful. Haven't been out enough this year.
