I LOVE Tim's picture. Actually the reason I quit carrying that type is because I enjoy my time not in jail. If I had one of those style flare guns on my boat I would undoubtedly be in jail for life for burning sails on a regular basis.

I typically show them the "moon". That and when I'me coming in from a trip, I typically like to get close and say hello - with the one finger wave. I've got a GREAT picture from a mast sticking up out of the water in Florida in the inner coastal. That's what I call a good start.

Mike's right. The water is all messed up - cloudy. However, we keep lakers and smoke them. Tastier than smoked salmon in our opinion. And, if you have to die some way I'd rather go eating smoked lake trout than smoking cigs. Pretty soon they will tell us not to breath the air - oh wait, they already do that in some places. Not trying to dig on you Mike, just the government.

Why is everyone releasing lakers??? Don't you guys know the rules changed this year. http://www.michigan.gov/documents/dnr/table1-GLtrout-splake_273185_7.pdf It's open until October 31st. Or, could it be you just don't like lakers, which is fine. Just curious.

VERY nice work. We fished to top half of the water, but we sure marked a lot down there 90+. Looks like it's time to upgrade next year to 450 coppers.
