  1. Thanks for the great show guys. Sounds like everyone did pretty well and it was great to see some faces that were strangers since about September.
  2. I may be late getting to the conversation, but I had Randy (Zeeland) do a valve job last year and mine runs like a top. He does great work, does it quickly and is affordable.
  3. I keep all my UV in one box, all my glow (nitro, moonshine, etc) in one box, and all the normal stuff in another box. OK I have like 20 boxes, but I try to keep them seperate. If you really must know I am dillusional when it comes to organizing. I actually have a box for "taped" spoons, a box for spoons with dots, a box for spoons with ladder backs, and of course each box is only one size (mini, normal, mags). I've got a sickness.
  4. I'm with Jon, though I don't have the blueberry muffin and lemon berry, but I have heard a lot of good about them. I typically run the following somewhere in the spread: Flounder Pounder Frog (anything) or Mongolian Beef, which is almost the same kind of idea Mixed Veggie Lemon Ice or Lemon Machine Anything blue and green (dolphin, GLF spook, etc etc).
  5. WOW Jim, could you have even imagined how this would go when you started?
  6. I got the LDS 5 last year and loved it. I have a fish hawk already though, but I will say that most guys on the water with fish hawks are pretty friendly and will share information if you know what you are asking for. Ask these three things: Troll direction. Fish hawk depth and temp (or temp break depth, which should be the same) and GPS speed over ground. Obviously you'll also want to know their total depth, but you may have to ask harder for that, or just start looking around.
  7. Greg, I still need a ride. Better get that thing moving.
  8. Very nice work in FEBRUARY. WOW>
  9. I think I use 4/0 on my flies. I'd probably go 3/0 on "normal" size spoons and maybe try 4/0 if they are magnum spoons.
  10. Oh, that's some great fish porn. Thanks.
  11. Not often, but we do when we need a change of pace. Holland.
  12. Thanks for the post. I'll be sure to go online and provide some feedback. It would be nice to have a night during the week they are open, as I too run into either waiting until the weekend or trying to send the wife to get something and failing miserably at explaining to her what I want.
  13. VERY nice Ken. thanks for sharing.
  14. I actually lined a storage box on my boat with a thick pond liner and then ran a drain plug out the bottom. Problem was that the liner eventually got water (and fish scales) behind it and MAN was that nasty. Ended up going back to the cooler.
  15. WOW. Off the show room floor?
  16. Welcome aboard fellow addict. I'm surprised no one else commented on "my wife found this site". That's what I call a keeper.
  17. Thanks for sharing. Nice addition to the family.
  18. NICE. I was on the frozen lake in Cadillac this weekend and only caught a few perch. Nice to hear people are still catching fish.
  19. You guys are funny. We'll try to fish a few this year Ken. It's always a great time getting to know everyone and win or loose, it's just beer money. Also, GREAT practice for the big events and a cheap price. I've always appreciated doing these events win or lose. I guess some people can't read Terry's reports, or maybe his picture quality of the exact lures he uses are good enough.
  20. Nice work Paul. MAN, that is some great fish porn. Thanks for sharing.
  21. I caught that 411 fishing show on 11-9-12 but I wasn't real clear on when it was filmed. It was pretty cool to see though because I could associate with it.
  22. I love the "Left turn Clyde" . . . classic. A few you'll here on my boat include: "you gonna get that fish in today . . . or do you need me to call a chick to help you? "Left . . . no the other left" and the ever famous "why isn't that other boat paying attention to where I am going?"
  23. That looks awesome. When is spring?
  24. We run some SWRs every once in a while or some goofy baits. However, I also run a 11" white paddle with a green fly on it on both riggers. Even if they don't fire the dipseys may start going or the spread may start working. I don't change the riggers because they are likely bringing fish into the pattern (either with sound or flash) and when the fish don't hit the fly they see something else they like in the spread. But it sure is fun to get the riggers going. Is it spring yet?????
  25. WOW, someone still fishing. Nice work.
