    We ran longer leaders for bouncing bottom for lakers and it worked awesome. I've not run excessively long leaders for anything else, but it might be worth a try.

    Once you go King Salmon fishing in Michigan it's hard to go back and catch bass or other species. I'm not saying I don't fish for other things, but I spend a LOT of time feeding the salmon addiction. GREAT job on the trip and welcome to the club. First step is admitting you have a problem.

    Thanks for the fogx tip. I'm definately going to try it. I use the same method Jon uses - a shower/window squegee is always sitting on the dash.

    I had a 470 with a anti-freeze cooling system on it. Boat ran all day long at the same temp and sipped gas. Great engine in my opinion. Not sure if I had 3" or 4" . . . been too many years to remember.

    Nice job Terry. We did have the day off, but we were up north working on the new boat. MAN, I can't wait to get that thing in the water. Seeing the good reports is killing me. On of these years we will learn to get our crap ready in the fall before we put the boat away.
