  1. Well..... not sure what we were doing wrong, but we did not have a great day catching. BUT, we got the band back together and we did have a fun trip on the water. Never a bad trip fishing with my dad. Managed to lose/miss our fist 3 so we were 0-3 for starters. Picked at em between 150 and 190, then back to 110 before we pulled lines. Managed to get 5 I think for 9. Wierd day for us, backwards from most I think. Dropped just outside the piers to try in close - notta. Went out to 150 to try, missed a bunch on the way out nw. Turned SE, picked a few up. Funny day though compared to others. Ran riggers all over 130, 110, 90, 60, 50, 70, etc etc. Ran dipseys 290, 260, 225, 160, 190, etc. Ran 300 copper, 200, 100, full core, 5 colors, etc etc. You get the idea. BIG fish came on 5 color, two came on full core, 1 came on 200 copper and one came on 100 copper. Everyone else was catching deeper or they were in close. Oh well, still caught fish and spent time with dad and the Just Hook'n crew. And we made it hope and got the stuff put away just before it rained.
  2. Very nice work out there guys. Not sure what we were doing wrong, but we just could not get em going like you did.
  3. Tasty. Nice work Ed
  4. WOW. Rough start, great finish Don. Way to stick to it.
  5. Sweeeet. We are going to try to get out Sunday.
  6. Very nice Ryan. I've caught a lot of fish and I don't think I've actually limited yet on my boat either. Always seems like we are just a few short.
  7. MAN, I love those flat days. Ah, I remember the last one . . . three years ago . . .
  8. Welcome to the addiction. We have meetings every weekend and some weeknights. Mostly when the lake is flat. Feel free to share when you are comfortable . . . . HAHAHA. It's actually not far from an addiction, but a healthy one.
  9. Nice work Bob. Batting 1000 I see. Can't beat that.
  10. VERY nicely done Terry. 19lbs early in the spring. WOW.
  11. Very nice job. Let us know if you need someone to use that boat while you are up north.
  12. Nice night for a quick trip. Great job.
  13. It was awesome to see you again. Great job on the feeeshes. Perhaps next time I won't txt two different boat captains to join them at the same time.
  14. Very nice Jeff. Great couple trips.
  15. Yikes. We were in Holland, well probably closer to Saugatuck/Douglas by the time we got done fishing. We did see the chopper overhead, but I don't recall hearing the call on the radio. We typically leave the radio on 68 and just keep it there. I think our radio is capable of scanning. May have to start using that feature.
  16. Welcome aboard Bob. It's a great site and we look forward to sharing wiht you and hearing your reports.
  17. Very good feeling to have the boat do what it's supposed to. Nice shakedown.
  18. WAIT, did you say 600 copper???? and you took 3 fish on it???? Holy crap, you must have arms like a body builder.
  19. HA, tough to keep those little guys off the lines this weekend. We had similar results Friday. Wondered why we had not taken a hit and had 3 or 4 fish on lines.
  20. Nice job out there. MAN, I really hope this keeps up for a few more weekends.
  21. Way to go Donnie. We were out in that Friday crap too. It was a slow bumpy ride home to Holland from darn near Douglas.
  22. Nice job Tarrey. Those exact same colors were working in Holland too.
  23. Nice job out there. Sorry about the knives, but great suggestion from Ben. I think I actually "traded" knives last year. Still have a 10" forshner, but I think it's not my original.
