  1. Very nice work. From what I heared a lot of guys would have loved those numbers this weekend.
  2. Way to get em Kenny. Sounds like Muskegon is where you want to be right now.
  3. Pretty sweeeeeet. Perfect record by yourself.
  4. WOW. Way to go Dave. Nice work. Tripples are tough to take when you have 4 guys on the boat.
  5. Pretty darn sharp man. Great work. You could also get some of those rod ends that just slip over the butt while fighting a fish. It's like a big cushion that slips over the end of the rod.
  6. The only problem with observers on every boat (and I'm not saying I am against it) is that some boats are not big enough to hold their crew plus observers. We are finally up to the size where an observer would be feasible, but we just got there. On all of our previous boats it would have meant sacrificing a spot of a valued team member to hold an observer. But this is a good topic - how do we make it better - not exactly sure.
  7. Catch 15 Weigh 10 or 12.
  8. That thing is AWESOME. Transom to thin on a 34'????? Hmmmmm. Time to get the custom mounting brackets going.
  9. Gord you are right about one thing, and I'll be the first to admit it on our boat. Fisherman + tournament = idiot. We do some pretty dumb stuff on the boat during tournament time. Stuff we certainly would not do (waves wise) during non tournament times.
  10. Sherman, thank you for sharing your story and I am so very sorry for your loss. Peace be with you. My father is our driver and I cherish every moment we have together on the water. Don't know what I would do without him.
  11. Trying to catch a few is better than working and not trying. Keep up the good work Paul.
  12. I think you guys know my opinion - it was stated last year. I like the tournaments that weigh more because I think the really good fishing teams show up at the top of the leader board. I'm in favor of the catch 15 weigh 10 or 12 events. This gives you some room to not count a few shakers or small fish if you get into them. The really good teams can catch 15 consistently and quite honestly I have no problem "donating" my money to them. They deserve it. They have worked hard to get where they are. The problem I have with the weigh 5 events is that the majority of the field catches five fish, then you are just seperating boats by ounces caught not fish numbers. Sure there are some events where 5 fish would be a great day (due to conditions), but I think you guys get the drift. I like the 3 man rod limit, 3 man fish limit, weigh 10 or 12. Just seem to make the most sense to me. BUT, just my opinion.
  13. Very nice job sticking with it after a few hours Jeff. Can be tough when you are not catching with kids. AWESOME job to your little man for dragging in fish and not loosing any. Sweeeeet.
  14. WOW. 3 to 5's and a cannonball stuck in the nets. You were very fortunate to get out of that one safely. Nice job.
  15. A great shakedown trip. Boat ran good and you were batting 1000. Can't beat that.
  16. Nice job sticking at it.
  17. We used to get out early (way before sun up) and fish glows for about two hours or so, right up through sun up and then switch everything over about an hour after sun up. Some great advice from others here - have your stuff in order. It's dark out there away from shore and not many people out there to help you out if you get in trouble. Some nice flood lights pointed backward are almost necessary for netting and seeing your boards.
  18. VERY nice to hear. Full of bait is good. Nice job out there Dave.
  19. Senez, if you are lacking lures, I can throw in a few dozen with the Fish Hawk. I have 1000 and we probably only use the same 50 lures all the time. Sooooo I can get you lures, not saying they will catch fish, but they caught a sucker (me). We started adding copper setups the last few years (heavier this year), but you can easily blow $300 on a rod, reel and the line. For obvious reasons I would say get the fish hawk. hahahahaha. But you can get that information from friends on the lake (if it is not tournament time). If I was you, I'd probably start at least investigation copper.
  20. Nice job Ben. Good choice on the breakfast first then fish. I remember doing that with the crew a few times. Good memories on the boat or off if you have a great bunch of friends.
