  1. Nice job Mike. Glad you got out there and got the boat fixed too.
  2. Had an awesome time getting to know you even better Jon. Anytime you are welcome aboard.
  3. Great weekend Ben. Nice job.
  4. DUDE, you are awesome. Hand lines a king. OOOOOH, that's a kick in the boys.
  5. I absolutely loved my big jon tripple trees. Now that we have a radar arch, we have them mounted on the arch. I will say, that we keep jumping our 100 and 200 copper setups for some reason. I never had that problem with my big jon tripples. They are now on my buddies boat, and he loves them too.
  6. Very nice way to break the boat in for the year. Well done. Thanks for the pictures. Looks like you were having fun.
  7. Animals - fish, deer, etc. Seem to "act up" with the moon phase. The best hunting times are typically when the moon is directly overhead or underfoot. This is why noon is good when there is a full moon. Also this is why some guys go out and knock em dead at midnight during full moon. The fish shut off earlier (after the sun comes up) because they have been eating all night and they are full. Of course this is all theory and not 100 % factual. But I think you will find that the "good hunting time predictors" and the fish predictors operate on this philosophy.
  8. WOW. That is some awesome fishing. Sorry about the luck with the ounces of difference. $25,000 first prize. WOW, how many boats are in that kind of tournament?
  9. Very nice Jim. EVERYTHING WORKED. That is pretty cool and I am very jealous.
  10. Wait wait wait . . . Dave, you only love to catch you don't eat salmon? Common man, there are a thousand ways to prepare salmon that are delicious. You're missing out man.
  11. I may be telling you something you already know, but copper is just like lead core in the method. The difference is that it gets deeper fast, that's pretty much it. Has a little different wiggle, but the main purpose is less line out = faster retreive and reset, oh and less sore arms. Also, you can obviously get much deeper faster (300 and 450s) that you can with core.
  12. Hopefully I helped him this weekend and much as he always helps me. I was in to replace a rod again with a broken tip (about my third) and Aaron always takes them back in and gives me a new one. The store was pretty busy and there were a couple guys debating getting into copper setups. So, I gave them the song and dance and I hope they made a good decision, but we had to go home with the family. Thanks Aaron for all you do.
  13. I thought that was you Phil. I'm pretty sure we went right by you on the lake too. You were going north and we were going south. Like I said - we were in the fish. Just could not get them to fire. NICE work on 12.
  14. Sorry for the late report. With fathers day weekend in the mix I did not even touch a computer this weekend. We went out for a gorgeous afternoon/evening on the pond. WOW was it flat out there. The only problem was the flies and the fish didn't quite cooperate. We started early, probably 3pm heading south west in 70 fow out of Holland. Marked a decent amount of fish pretty consistently, but could not really get it going. They would come up and look, but not take it. Change everything - four times. Ended up with 2 lakers, 1 steelhead, and a few nice kings. 5 for 7 or something. 200 copper worked. Riggers worked a few times. Dipsey went. 5 color went once. I can't for the life of me remember the spoons or setups that worked, being that we changed everything so much.
  15. Awesome job Dave. Got to love those deck dancing parties.
  16. Nice report and Great job out there Ben. HEY, I made the picture show.
  17. Nice job fellers. Didn't catch you on the water, but I got a HUGE kick out of you and Don (Tangled Mess) on the radio.
  18. Nice job Donnie and crew. Like Jon said, at least there are some fish up north. Time to plan a ludville trip.
  19. Nice job Terry. Saw you pulling into the dock with all the traffic on Saturday. Figure you had your hands full trying to battle for a spot.
  20. WOW, 5 months pregnant and reeling in fish. That's a keeper. Nice job and thanks for the report
  21. South West wind should blow them into the beach today. Hopefully someone that finds them is a fisherman and will call. Sorry about the luck. Some trips are that way. Karma rocks though, so your next trip should be awesome.
  22. Lubbs, call me on the radio tonight, we will be out of Holland as well. Good luck. Thanks for the report Stephen. Nice work out there.
  23. Thanks for the report, and great job on the feeeshes. Nice picture too. Love seeing a full board at the cleaning station.
  24. Very nice work. What Nick said - it was likely a skamania or very confused.
  25. Very nice shakedown Nick. Glad you could make it to Holland.
